Random question... why does this mod require Downpour? Is it just because of its connection to Pipeyard, is it because of the creature spawns, or something more?

I'm just looking to see which region mods require Downpour, in order to decide whether a future project of mine should require Downpour.

Might be the creatures then, because there are regions with similar number of rooms and they load noticeably faster.

@petrslaw the reason why it takes so long to load is because I think it's due to the large amount of rooms there are, there's about 150 rooms so it takes a fair bit to load them all and all the creatures, at least that's what I presume is the reason

I've noticed today that the music is there, but there were no updates, so the lack of it must've been a one time bug.

Anyway, although it's not an issue, it's quite curious that the region loads significantly slower than any other, modded included, no matter the gate. Do you have some ideas on why that's the case?

I really like the core idea for the region layout. Basically take a square, rotate 45 deg, put a gate on each vertex, connect the gates together with a web of spaghetti and finally divide the region horizontally into subregions like the layers of a lasagna. It's a very tasty design.

I also liked how much diversity there is, each subregion feels very distinct, with different challenges. It's close, but my favourite in terms of aesthetic and overall vibe are The Slums (but maybe I just like purple :p ). I played as hunter and I'm very glad I had a vulture mask glued to my hand, because without it it would be really brutal there.

One nitpick about hunter spawns - though I was glad to see the mandatory one red centipede chilling in the dark, I was disappointed with a lack of spitter spiders to accompany their non-spitting brethren.

It's really unfortunate that there's no music.

9/10, pls add perl.

well, yes, we have clearly seen this in urban areas like Outskirts, but not Metropolis blocks. It feels too modern to be an urban area for the surface

@saturnsei i think while nobody would have lived on the ground after the iterators were made, it would have been used before the iterators were actually created. No rain = ground is habitable, so there would have been various cities/villages around the place

Why'd you choose to a) make the water gray and b) add the metropolis blocks to the Slums? I feel like nobody would even live on the ground at this point, so having the metropolis blocks feels a little out of place.

this is my favorite region mod, tied with howling rift. i love the astetic (can never spell that word) its great and the rooms are all incredibly designed, it gives me motivation to continue trying to make new rooms for rain world 10/10. i think a custom threat theme would be nice, but other than that i cannot say i would change anything at all with this. super great shelters too

I'm not sure why you rearranged the room pipes in CC_B04, but you've created a doomed shelter - you've moved it directly next to a white lizard den that's nearly impossible to slip past.

The same entrance also crashed the game when we finally got to try it.

@Bumper, the farm array's entrance is at LF_A06, the chimney canopy entrance is at CC_B04, the garbage waste's entrance is at GW_A06, and the pipeyard entrance is at VS_E02

@T-Can Alright so I tested it with only those two mods (and warp menu) enabled and I found two broken connection (there may be more but these are the ones I found): Going from room GW_A05 to GW_A08 and going from room GW_A01 to GW_C01. Interestingly going the opposite direction (GW_C01 to GW_A01) does not softlock the game, but it still makes the region impassable if going from Industrial.

p good, i enjoyed filter residue the most, then comes suburbs 👍 as for critiques i'd say that most rooms are a bit too simple in their geometry and the map lacks layers, i'd like to report a particularly nasty eel in D27, a nasty camo lizard in D8, and the two poles extending from a cavity in a pipe to the left of B28 are hard to grab
