for some reason the muzzleflash on the HL2 shotty doesnt show in thirdperson.
not getting any errors or anything, just doesnt pop up when i shoot

they are the same its just instead of videos or gifs its your on your computer screen at your refresh rate. If you turn the game speed down or type fps_limit 30, or 60 you will see how much they change. Also yeah they only work with guns that use the default muzzleflash textures.

Oh and theres no lua or anything so I dont know how else to make it work..

I tried with arc cw arc 9 TFA and modern warfare base weapons but this does not seem to work for me. Tried decompiling it and then putting the mod in addon folder , it still did not work. Its a bummer. I really wanted to try this mod. disabled the other particle effects addons and it still did not work. It seems to work (kind of) for the default SMG but the muzzleflashes are nothing like they appear in the attached screenshots or the video.

Does this addon works with weapon replacement?

its only the smg that does this for me.

I've noticed that the muzzle flash disappears after the initial shot, on automatic weapons, like SMGs, it works fine in first person but when viewing from third person - the flash disappears after the first shot.

they do work you have to check low performance muzzle flashes in performance settings, but they only use the first frame of the 4th animated texture, multiple different weapon packs do this idk why
