Interesting mod, makes the Charger much more annoying and tougher to fight, which I like. However, playing "Fairfield Terror", I did notice the Charger sometimes charged into walls despite not being into direct line of sight with survivors.

The charger can sometimes U-turn 180 degrees sharply. Intentional?

There is a window that Hunter can break, but it's too unnatural to go to the door and break it out. I would like the Hunter to jump towards the window and make it an ai that comes out while destroying it with an attack.

This mod is sick! One bug that I would like to report is the charger will sometimes turn while charging to hit a survivor. It seems to happen sometimes when the charger barely misses its target and then seems to just make a 180 turn while charging and then hit who it just missed.

Being able to modify the ai like this means that when you throw boomer juice at a special zombie, can you program it to counterattack when normal zombies attack?

Just a update , im working on a full rework using this as a base for the charger. (So this mod won't only include preventing bad charges anymore)

Upcoming changes.

- Instant charge in melee distance , when available.
- Unable to confuse the charger anymore by jumping and putting him in retreat mode
- Bug fixing and improvements on checking visibility and he's angle checks , he won't be stuck anymore on he's charge input unless still in very rare cases.
- charger will predict the players position when doing a charge.
- charger will now charge you off deadly edges when he has a opportunity to do so
- new targetting system , will attack the closest survivor based on multiple states the survivor is in.

@Roiditron77 ai stagger fix prevents si like hunter from scratching you even while you are shoving them, it doesnt have anything to do with the charger anyway

This has always bothered, and it's about the witch.

If you startle her, run into the saferoom, and she will be confused and run away. You don't even have to close the door. Idk if Valve ever bothered to add nav for her to go into the saferoom or what, but it makes her all the less threatening.

It would be nice to see this glitch(?) fixed.

I like this. it makes him more threatening. May i ask does this also fix the issue where the charger refuses to charge if you happen to jump near him? you know the jump melee strat to confuse the AI and just bully him to death

Cool idea but I kind of like the immersion of derpy chargers. They're meant to be zombies, I doubt they're going to do much thinking when it comes to charging. But it's a cool mod regardless. :)

The charger knows where he is charging at all times. He knows this because he knows where he is not charging.

had a little problem with getting the functions to work inside the chargers scope , when injected into the directors scope.

Luckily this has been fixed , have fun! Im also looking into simply adding a variable to check retries in the chargers scope to disable the scripts functionality for a small period off time when he has been trying to charge X amount off times in a row (So he won't be stuck trying to charge the same angle over and over).

@guert that mod isn't a fix, it's intended that charger was never shovable due to his massive size and muscles

@RF , Forgot about that :d it won't work either way since the LookAtPlayer netprop would return null for a player so he won't have a target. I updated it and added the check :)
