All it needs is some better lighting. Hard to see anything but the new field.

Just discovered that there was a cube in last chamber while reading comments. Nice!

BTW, great idea!

Thx!
Petutski 28. maj 2015 kl. 13:43
Great map. Not too hard. Did not need the cube in the last chamber. Thanks!
-GB  [ophavsmand] 7. feb. 2015 kl. 1:37
No problem :)
Darkka 1500 LT 7. feb. 2015 kl. 1:09
Hey Thanks man! :)
-GB  [ophavsmand] 6. feb. 2015 kl. 23:32
They are already there with the tool. You can find the tool in the Tools tab in Steam. But to make maps with it, you need to know how to use it.
Darkka 1500 LT 6. feb. 2015 kl. 10:13
And how does one get thoose textures?
-GB  [ophavsmand] 5. feb. 2015 kl. 22:08
Thanks! These textures are only available in an official Portal 2 map making tool "Portal 2 Authoring Tools".
Darkka 1500 LT 5. feb. 2015 kl. 11:08
Hey, If you ever get this sir, nice map! But how did you get thoose overgrown/abandoned textures? Thanks!
-GB  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. 2015 kl. 8:39
Oh it can actually compile back successfully? I might try that, thanks!
presto668 1. feb. 2015 kl. 8:35
If you're interested, BSPSource decompiled the map fine and I was able to fix the problem and recompile in Hammer. So it's possible. :)
-GB  [ophavsmand] 1. feb. 2015 kl. 7:21
Thanks for reporting!
Ive lost the project files through, cant fix it.
presto668 1. feb. 2015 kl. 6:37
Got some nodraw visible in the third area with the cube, laser, and light bridge. :) It's on the wall opposite the entrance on the side of the room with the cube dropper.
-GB  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. 2014 kl. 8:26
Thanks
quatrus 12. nov. 2014 kl. 16:11
Nice converter effect. Fun puzzle. thanks for creating.
-GB  [ophavsmand] 31. okt. 2014 kl. 7:30
I did a little mix between those two. I guess it's being rebuilt in "Advanced Stages" after you pass this one.
Swedish Firefighter 31. okt. 2014 kl. 7:29
I already played this chamber, but In another style. Like this better!
-GB  [ophavsmand] 28. aug. 2014 kl. 22:05
Yeah, I missed that one. Thanks, mate!
Rubycario 28. aug. 2014 kl. 12:26
Good test, however, and Idk if it's been mentioned before but it's possible to get yourself between tests 2 and 3. The Portals in the second chamber don't fizzle, and therefore you can still access them when you head into the next chamber. Other than that, well done. :p2orange:
-GB  [ophavsmand] 27. aug. 2014 kl. 13:02
There already are 2 maps with it :) Thanks!
Johny404 27. aug. 2014 kl. 12:17
Interesting technology, I hope there will be more maps with it :) :citranium:
-GB  [ophavsmand] 24. aug. 2014 kl. 1:39
@PsYcHo Whoa, you really are able to airstrafe there :D Nice run and thats for feedback!
Psycho 24. aug. 2014 kl. 0:23
This is an amazing concept. Some crazy things could be done with this! Maps are built really well, all except for the last one which has 3 different solutions. I did a speedrun of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfDtcZo_e6A&feature=youtu.be
-GB  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2014 kl. 21:51
@FutureGameDev Alright, thanks a lot!
DannyVFilms 21. aug. 2014 kl. 17:32
I love seeing new game mechanics people come up with. This was really well put together. Your map made it onto my Community Spotlight series, so I'll leave a link down below for you. If you have any other maps you're really proud of, send them to me, and I'll play them in a future episode. Keep up the good work!

-GB  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2014 kl. 21:54
@SkrowFunk Yeah, yeah, Ive already released a puzzle focused on the mechanic and there will be more. Thanks!
-GB  [ophavsmand] 18. aug. 2014 kl. 21:52
@TigerStar I have no idea how did u manage to airstrafe there, nice work :)
SkrowFunk 18. aug. 2014 kl. 19:51
I really liked the mechanic you added here. The puzzles were great too, but unfortunately I don't think the puzzles were any better with your new portal swapping idea. You should use this and make puzzles that require the portal swapping. As it is, the portal swapping makes a regular puzzle a little more tedious.
Stoic⁧⁧Sirius 18. aug. 2014 kl. 14:13
at the final chamber i used airstrafe :P
-GB  [ophavsmand] 17. aug. 2014 kl. 22:21
@HLRxxKarl Puzzles will be happening :). Thanks for feedback!
HLRxxKarl 17. aug. 2014 kl. 19:39
I like the idea of this mechanic, but I'm not sure how useful it would be in a full game. But I still had fun with it for the time being. Good job! :)
-GB  [ophavsmand] 17. aug. 2014 kl. 0:21
As it was explained before, all that was part of the original puzzle, I just didnt see the easier solution. Thanks for the comments!
Jade BGE 16. aug. 2014 kl. 19:20
I enjoyed and though it was a good looking chamber. The last room, however, needs a few things removed or redone; as we don't need the block or the moving platform to exit. Thanks
1980 16. aug. 2014 kl. 15:15
The platform that is kept up by the laser seems to be useless in the final test chamber. i don't understand what it is installed for. I just soared up from the faith plate, landed on the hard light bridge and walk away to the exit lol
-GB  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2014 kl. 14:57
5 Stars! :D Thanks yall!
-GB  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2014 kl. 7:28
@Mr Doom It's funny because it's sort of what i'm building right now :) Thanks for advice!
Clearly Mad 15. aug. 2014 kl. 7:22
It's an interesting idea, but it doesn't make a major difference. If I were you, I'd make a test around fizzlers which only fizzle the portal which the player can place, so if you can only place the orange one, the blue one will be uneffected. Just like single portal tests. Look at tmast98's Single Portal Chambers for some test ideas.
-GB  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2014 kl. 5:13
@Kibate There was a puzzle behind it but I missed another easy solution. Too late to fix though. And the puzzle wasn't concentrated on the inverter just like I wrote in the description. Thanks for feedback!
Kibate 15. aug. 2014 kl. 4:28
Here are my two cents:
Very interest idea, however you didn't do anything with it, this could just as well have been a normal map. You could make the portal-changer in a hallway that force you to go through and then add some puzzle with that.
Second thing, i am not really trying it out, but i don't see the point of the cube in the last chamber.
Stimich 14. aug. 2014 kl. 14:39
Hey, no problem! I'm just happy to help other mappers!
-GB  [ophavsmand] 14. aug. 2014 kl. 14:36
@Stimich I appresiate all the feedback as well as bug reports. I did know about portals staying in previous chambers, but it was too late to fix. Thanks a lot, mate!
Stimich 14. aug. 2014 kl. 14:34
Sorry for all of these comments. You've got nodraw textures on the BTS ceiling, next to the observation room in the third chamber.
Stimich 14. aug. 2014 kl. 14:31
Oh, also you've used vertex texture I see. Imo, it doesn't look pretty, as the textures will randomly become dark or lighter as you move through the map.
