is there a way to make sure zombies spawn like vanilla, but there is a mixture of zombies in hordes but also lonely zombies? i dont just want only hordes. sometimes i want to loot a house and be snuck up on

Do I use WIP modid for 42?
exotarih 14 Oct @ 12:33am
@Ryuku: Just wanted to give you a huge "thaaaaank you!" for your absolutely amazing mods. Wandering & starving zombies are such a crazy good addition to an already awesome game. Your mods give the game a completely fresh feel and the gameplay is just crazy engaging. I love seeing zombies wander around in unusual places (and munching on their fallen comrades). Can't even put into words how much I appreciate the way it changes the game.

I keep getting sent to Lua, saying there's an error. What do i do? :steamsad:

@Sr. Cambito Jocoso bandits spawn just fine for me with this mod. Did you sync to server?
Sr. Cambito Jocoso 5 Oct @ 4:01pm
i used the WIP but BANDITS dont seem to spawn

Awesome mod. Vanilla zombies always felt like stationary dummies in the vanilla game, but now it's much more dynamic and realistic :steamhappy:
CakeHead G 4 Oct @ 9:19am
Wait, so is this a *mod*, or a custom gamemode thing? Can this not be enabled on preexisting worlds?
Alkanshel 3 Oct @ 8:39am
Since this does not spawn zombies, I assume this is pretty performance friendly?

You'll want to enable the mod in the mods menu from the main menu, then go into a custom sandbox game and "wandering zombies" should be a handful of the sandbox options.

How do I enable this mod? The author mentions tooltips and idk what those are, not to mention I dont see any of the zombie settings in the screenshots
Sr. Cambito Jocoso 30 Sep @ 3:41pm
Since the Author wont mention it, I'll post the information here, if you want to use BANDITS with this mod, you need to use the "WIP" version. "Whats the WIP version" you might ask, good question, too bad the Author wont answer questions.

10/10 mod, makes the undead feel more unalive than ever
Bosterk 27 Sep @ 5:07pm
Do you have presets or parameters that make the zombies act like The Walking Dead?
IronLungs 8 Sep @ 1:20pm
@seeker there's compatibility with bandits in the WIP version of the mod.
Batkan 2 Sep @ 10:16am
Amazing mod. Game is 100% better and interesting with this. I can never go back to vanilla after trying this for last few weeks. Early, mid and late game are all more interesting and difficult. Thank you also for highly customizable options as i found preset options way to hard for securing base early in urban places. Zombies just keep coming. I increased intervals between wandering to highly random numbers and now is perfect for me.Thank you!

What an amazing mood! You can't play B42 without this!
JesusChristIsLord 28 Aug @ 10:30am
Is this compatiable with Starving Zomnies?
Senjo de Akuma 26 Aug @ 5:21pm
Not all zombies follow noisemakers this makes stealth difficult, do you think it could be related to the herd/horde setting?
Seeker 23 Aug @ 9:53am
Hey dev, check compatibility with [B42/B41] Bandits NPC (v2) and Bandit Creator. Thanks in advance.
phantan0411 19 Aug @ 5:59am
It's more like following instead of wandering, they always know where you are and move to somewhere near you without any cause. With the sprinter setting, now I have to kill the whole town in order to get in somwhere there, and which is almost impossible. :steamsad:
STNR 15 Aug @ 4:22pm
great mod!
except for the issue of one player seeing zombies, while another player arriving later not seeing any - even when both are at the same place. One is getting attacked by zombies, the other player watches said player fighting nothing and dying to air.
Jaxdris 12 Aug @ 6:20am
It's a great mod, however if you already have many mods changing vehicles, maps, zombies, tile packs, the extra load this mod applies to the game makes playing unfeasible, especially considering that the betterfps mod makes the mod functionally not function
Lazern 12 Aug @ 4:03am
This mod is absolutely spectacular! It adds so much tension when out and about, you have to keep vigilant at all times if a few zombies or horde stroll by.
marty 12 Aug @ 1:50am
Thanks for making this mod! I don't want the homing aspect on at all tho, so all I need to do is set the Homing Start Hour: Min & Max to 0? Thanks much, cheers!

So I put together a 262 mod modpack and this mod was in it, I kept getting this "WZTick" error being spammed. After hours of troubleshooting, disabling mods progressively from A - Z, I got to W and found the error spam to no longer happen. Found out it was this mod, because using Mod Manager's "Enable All" had enabled the Experimental version, which the mod itself warns not to have both loaded.

To prevent such issue from occurring in the future to other people, any chance of the experimental / beta version of this mod being made its own, separate mod, rather than bundled along with the main mod? Thanks.
IronLungs 6 Aug @ 11:36am
Thank you for this mod been using it awhile. Server based settings regarding wandering....could you if you have time and dont mind add an example config for a challenge but not killing a server perf?
TikaTops 5 Aug @ 3:10am
This is one of the best Project Zomboid mods out there — it greatly enhances the gameplay experience. Thank you so much for your work!
