Due to CA's latest patch there seems to be an issue with files written in caps.
This can vary from mod crashes to single models/textures not loading...
Since I have a handful of mods, I can't go through them and check/ fix this.
So I ask you for patience, CA is aware of the problem and is working on a hotfix.

The table the error speaks about was removed quite a while ago (at least it should be removed by now^^)

Hey RedDragon0908, absolutely love that you ported this mod over to WH3, I'm not sure if its due to a recent patch or update but I think it might be needing updated, though there is also a fair chance it could be an issue on my end since I'm not well versed in modding.

Whenever I start the game with it on I get the following message:

The following mods cause a crash to the database:

MOD_red_hef_uniforms_and_heraldry.pack

The first invalid database record is:
wh3_default_land_melee_infantry_main_frontline_swordswh2_main_hbe_inf_swordsmen_0 in table
cdir_military_generator_unit_qualities_tables
and pack file MOD_red_hef_uniforms_and_heraldry.pack

I hope this info is helpful in identifying what needs an update if it does and I hope you are having a great holiday season!

It's not about difficulty or effort but sheer compatibility.
Sigmars Heirs is a kind of overhaul and incompatible with many other mods.

I think they have regional units in Sigmars Heirs but obviously this is for the Empire factions only. As you said it appears to be new units with their own provincial military buildings to produce said units. I imagine this would be a lot of work but it has been done. Just food for thought if that is a road you are looking to develop this mod down. Otherwise love this mod buddy, keep up the ace work :)

There is no way to do so but to create entirely new units for every faction and make them some kind of regional feature.
As far as I know that is not possible.

You have to insert the spear model in all my variantmeshdefinitions.

Both mods alter the same files so you have to combine them manually.

Well no problem. I used some other mods now and I got the spears, hair and color scheme now working together but sadly not your shield design, but we'll you can't have everything

I encourage to ask if in doubt, but at this point its "not my buisness" - pointed it out now in the desription.

See all other units work as I only edit the spearmen and silver helms^^

Of course it is. If three mods alters the same unit variant at some point a mod will not takes place.
Longer spears mod edit the spearmen and give them a vanilla shield, longer hair mod edits the spearmen and keep its props vanilla, my mod edits the spearmen and change their shields but keep the spears and bodies untouched...

I don't put it in the description but it should be common knowledge that things that do the same will overwrite each other...

hey there :) i absolutly love this mod and its colour scheme. Sadly i encountered some compatibility issues. im using a longer spear mod and a hair mod for high elf units. all these mods including yours work perfectly togheter except for the normal spear men. every other units have all 3 mods enabled but the spear men only seem to have your mod active. is there maybe an issue with the spear men overwrite files in your mod ?

This doesn't work (well works 90%) with the Unique Faction UI mod. The Unique Faction UI mod overwrites the color scheme of the units. For example, the Eataine faction spearmen still have blue color instead of the red-orange color on their uniform.

Depends on who you ask. The original rgb colours are even brighter, so those are already darkened a few tones.

Colours behave quite different from the view in mod-tools/ gimp and the final look in game.

okay, just to make sure I'm understanding correctly...if I am Tyrion and take of Avelorn, when I go to recruit a unit from a settlement in Avelorn, the heraldry will now be that of Tyrion (Eaitaine) since that is the new "recruit-faction" versus the heraldry remaining that of Averlorn in that region?

Heraldry is given by the recruit-faction, not the region.

do the unique shields remain after confederating or taking over another home region? For example, If I'm Tyrion and take over Avelorn, will the unique Avelorn shields remain when I recruit units from that region? OR, once i take over another HE region do the units automatically change to my culture?

I'm searching for a mod that will allow the unique colors and heraldry to remain only in the home regions. So, in my example above, if I take over Avelorn, the units will maintain Avelorn heraldry, but if I take over a non-HE region then the units would have the regular Eataine heraldry. I hope this makes sense

I updated the mod to overwrite hooveric tables too.
But Yes writing "!" in front is an option.
