@Chesheire That would technically be against the license of this mod. If Dimon wants they can contact me and I can review it before making a decision on if it can be shared.

The shovel appears in random places not like directly where you're looking at, this is not viable because of that

Ok im using ACE for Project Injury Reaction (an older version of ACE, and I think thats my problem, its not your mod.) thanks for clearing that up.

It would be sick if you could script it to add a dirt patch where you dig, and have the rotation of the dirt patch be randomized.

Currently, it's difficult to eyeball the foxholes from the air, so adding dirt patches to simulate dirt being dug up would be great!

Feature request:
- add an option to remove a foxhole, let's say when having a 'Sandbag' item in inventory
- add ability for AI to dig holes

is it possible to have AI do this automatically. Like for example, if i want to have an epic huge WW2 battlefield and i want both sides to dig their own foxholes, does this mod include this already or does another mod allow for this? Or must this be scripted manually

You don't interact with the shovel. Just push the key listed on screen to initiate the dig.

I cannot interact with the shovel once its placed down via ace interaction. I dont know what im possibly doing wrong but it will not work

Please add option to set block list areas where you can dig, via an array like:

Always bothered me how they called those little dirt piles "trenches". It was certainly a hell of a lot better than nothing when you have no better cover around, but this is what I've been wanting for a while now.

@GameTimeOperator It does require the ace entrenching tool by default. If you don't have it in your inventory then the self-interaction doesn't appear.

@J3FF with this being used with ACE3 It would be nice to see the ability to "require" the entrenching tool already included with ACE which is usually used by Group Adler Trenches. If this is possible it "could" just be able to be toggled just like you have it with your own custom tool. This way you're still required to have an item to do so but with out requiring an additional tool taking up space anyway much love great mod

The shovel spawns at least 7m away from my position and in a random direction, how can i fix this?

It seems that the issue wasn't the mod, as it works for me on Altis but not on the modded map i was testing it on

@SpaceGhost This mods focus was on Foxholes so there isn't currently any plan to add alternate shapes. However you can create trenches by creating another foxhole at the edge of the existing one.

@dragonzipper the update last night changed the method of placement to fix the shovel "running away" issue, you do not need to walk up to the shovel in order to confirm its placement.

I have the same issue as CTPEJLOK, the shovel spawns about 5m away from me and de-spawns after a second or 2, weather or not i try to get to it 1st.

The mod looks really cool though, and if it did work it would be a must for me over the current trench mods

anything but ace .. would love to try you mod, i have been looking for a foxhole mod, but i boycott ace for those moders being rude arrogant pricks when i asked a simple question about how to use the med system . do you possibly think you would eventually exclude ace in the future ?

Well, it's not impossible. It's just difficult on certain maps. Some maps(like VT7) work perfectly fine.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the grid size.

I would like to see an improvement to the shovel though. Some maps it works beautifully and other it's constantly out of reach(like Sehreno).
