My guess is that is due to the hue shift room effect not adjusting the colors white lizards pick from the environment

unrelated comment: one time my sky islands color palette was green and i saw a white lizard "camouflaging" but instead of the green color palette the white lizard was using the original yellow/orange colors

update to anybody else reading this: we figured out the issue in Discord; MergeFix wasn't updated to version 1.71. Steam Autoupdate is not very consistent btw, so you can unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the mod to make sure you've got the latest version.

@bro748 Assuming it's karma gates, it could be a loading order issue. It essentially boils down to the fix, for whatever reason ends up loading before the thing it's supposed to fix.
The times I've seen and heard about, it's generally because the value that the fix or whatever makes a call for doesn't exist yet because it ended up loading before it is defined (during the transition/loading from old to new), so most of the time a null value.
Another case, if the value is kept between loads, is it ends up fetching the previous value (from before transition) and assigns it to the new value (after transition).

Full screen rain distortion bug was implemented into base game but then reverted because apparently it was causing some crashes when going through gates, and I'm not sure why. I didn't change the code for the underwater shortcuts fix so I'm not sure why that wouldn't be working.

Show underwater shortcuts pipe glow bug is still present in the game and merge fix doesn't fix it anymore :monksilly:
neither is the full screen rain distortion effect during precycles bug (and now it's also in the permanent non-lethal rain rooms)

It should be updated now. Most of MergeFix's fixes have been integrated into the base game though, since I am a Watcher dev now.

Hey this breaks The Depths ever since it was updated 10 Hours ago. You can replicate this by warping to room SB_C09, then entering the bottom right pipe to _SBL01. When Slugcat touches the floor in L01 the game freezes up and slamdunks you into the ground which kills Slugcat.

Conflicts with the old mod Get Out Of My Way and causes the slugcat to not spawn in the shelter at cycle start. Weird. Probably not your fault since the other mod is slightly out of date but figured I'd mention it nonetheless.

@Fengari there was a version of MergeFix (1.5.8) for about 2 hours that'd cause this issue. With the current version (1.5.9) this exception should not be possible, since that part of MergeFix code no longer accesses Dictionary.get_Item. Could you make sure you're totally up to date?

@Gamma the load order of mergefix doesn't matter, since it's a code mod. The code mod loader uses its own arbitrary load order, I think alphabetical based on the folder name.

no, SBCameraScroll uses File.WriteAllBytes instead of PNGSaver.SavePNG. It appears it doesn't properly discard of its Texture2Ds though.
