Does this still work? The default panels being offset annoys the _ out of me.

I am hunting for a solar panel that mounts, either like these or like the vanilla block, except in the center of the mounting edge rather than at one end or the other.

You sir, are clearly of a member of the "Not All Heroes Wear Capes" club. Me and my OCD thank you.

@infal
Can you please adapt this mod to the new progress system?
The building materials have changed and so it is unfortunately not possible to start a game with this mod on the moon or generally without atmosphere.

im sure this has been noted, but this mod brings back the rewuirement for Metal grids, which had been removed with the rebalance. When started a Star System world, and you have this mod, you will not be able to build solar panels since you do not start with metal grids, nor will you be able to harvest enough resources by salvaging to be able to make enough for one solar panel.
Its not game breaking, but make some survival worlds impossible to start off due to the lack of metal grids.

this mod now breaks vanilla conveyors and needs to be fixed

Gregorif 19. aug. 2015 kl. 8:08
Hello, has this mod been changed by the rebalance (components needed to build) ?
If no, will it be ?
Shadowdj 15. juni 2015 kl. 9:25
DX 11 rework pls ^^
luckz 7. mar. 2015 kl. 17:03
I made a mod largely based on this that bosts solar power output substantially, http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=404384864 . It can be used as drop-in replacement for this one (fingers crossed).

Why change the name on the vanilla panel, why not just call this one centered?
NeoAcario 19. feb. 2015 kl. 18:32
These are now the only solar panels I use...
Taliseth 5. feb. 2015 kl. 6:23
Nice these centered panels, however can you also adjust the colision box as at the moment I can place items on top of "empty" space near the top of the panel on one side. this shouldn't be possible I think.
scarvig 13. sep. 2014 kl. 7:38
yet you can still post the same you post in the comments for easier backtracking of patching...
if nothing needed to be changed just write: "Checked with latest official patch, still running fine."

its not about the content of your note but about the location.
i personally see in my downloads that mods got updated and thus go check the workshop page and directly switch to the changenotes. and as you can think for yourself it is quite annoying if you just see a set of blank entries...

@scarvig, The plain fact is that I intend to update this mod less frequently than KeenSWH update Space Engineers. So when they release a new version, I test, and update the description so subscribers can see the mod is compatible with the current version. If there were no changes needed for the mod then there is no changelog because I don't need to republish.
scarvig 12. sep. 2014 kl. 4:30
pls use the change notes for whatthwy are made...
updatenews in the comments are stupid!

update:
KeenSWH have listed mods causing dedicated server to crash as a bug fix for v1.047.x
"-fixed several MODs which were crashing dedicated server"
I've just tested for myself and am able to place the centred solar panel without the server crashing.
Let me know if anyone still has problems. :)

update:
Okay, I have tested it for myself and got the crash. I published a second, completely identical mod so I could test changes and it worked straight away, with no changes.

So, I've marked the second one as hidden and submitted a bug report to KeenSWH via their official forum.

Mod causes server crash [forums.keenswh.com]

I usually only test with single player. I'll give it a test in dedicated and see what the problem is. Thanks.
TSM [EGC] 31. aug. 2014 kl. 5:00
Had to removed this as any attempt to place centered one on a small ship crashed Dedicated Server.
Gelunox 30. aug. 2014 kl. 14:49
I tried placing these on large and small ships. server wasn't happy and decided it was a good idea to shutdown on placing

These are a must for dynamic solar panels (mounted on rotors/hydraulics). Better balance and better looks (offset panels tend to spazz out rotors for some reason).
infal  [ophavsmand] 25. aug. 2014 kl. 16:22
@Dragon-Raptor I did consider it as a possibility, having maybe a "hard mode" and "realistic" variant but I think it would be better left to a mod which is going to rebalance everything, not just one part.
There really isn't anything special behind the scenes in this mod (no work that I would consider wanting or needing rights protection etc), so if other mod authors doing a complete rebalance want to centre solar panels at the same time as they rebalance the power, that'd be completely fine with me.
Dragon-Raptor 23. aug. 2014 kl. 13:20
Why so surprised? Having everything off-centre just looks bad! ;-)

Have you considered releasing versions with the power output of the panels varied, for instance 1/2 or 1/3?
infal  [ophavsmand] 15. aug. 2014 kl. 0:01
Well, I have to say... I'm surprised this has been so popular. Thanks guys, I'm glad people like it!

@Moofrog, I have adjusted the alignment of the small ship panels, they looked a little off to me. Are you having problems with the large ship/station panels?

@jtgibson, sure, no probs.
Moofrog 14. aug. 2014 kl. 11:17
thanx for the mod, can you check the position again please? It seems its slightly off center :)
jtgibson 13. aug. 2014 kl. 21:18
I love these, but would it be possible to remove the word "Centred" from them? That way we have "Offset Solar Panels" and "Solar Panels" -- no need to remind ourselves that they're centred, since we can intuit that from the fact that they're not offset. =)
Nekora 12. aug. 2014 kl. 11:50
Oh Thank god someone made these.....
Madogen 11. aug. 2014 kl. 3:08
Welcome to the world of symmetry. Thanks!
Bengel 11. aug. 2014 kl. 2:31
in my oppinion it isnt really usefull srry
DOOM 10. aug. 2014 kl. 18:50
Thank God the offcenter panels have been driving me nuts
Moofrog 10. aug. 2014 kl. 3:36
thx very useful!
CATman4L 10. aug. 2014 kl. 2:59
finally this has bugged me so much for ages xD can make 1block buildings again
infal  [ophavsmand] 8. aug. 2014 kl. 16:30
@Taktron Yes, all of the construction process is the same as the regular solar panels. This mod doesn't provide any new models, just definitions for the new objects with the existing models rendered at a slightly different location.
Taktron 8. aug. 2014 kl. 9:11
Haven't tried them yet, but I'm guessing they are survival ready?
JuliaLoveStar 8. aug. 2014 kl. 6:40
thats exactly what i want thanks for the mod :D
