Seems to be working with the current version, as all factions that had changed starting points that I could remember from before have moved.
just be aware for first-time users, that the faction/char screen will show you the default start point, not the new one, and the camera will be on that location with nothing there at the start, you will have to plan and find there new starting position your self, only takes a sec, from there is as normal.
P.S. When testing new mods, disable all others, except for those required, and on a different save than your current campaign to see the mod in action separately, as some mod clashes are not known to authors and you get the wrong impression on a mods working state.

yes, it does work with SFO, and the best way to see if it working, to check if Korne is still in the ORK wastes to the south, just above Main Tomb king start, and to look at before and after on High Elf Island, and it puts races that should be together and reposition others to be more challenging or easy depending on what the race/faction is. It's excellent if your board of Fav factions starts fights and first steps and wants to mix it up a bit. however not how it still works now with 5.2.

Liking the mod so far.
One small oversight: Maggoth kin seems to start with two very separate regions: one in the SE of the map just above ku'gath (ruin's end), and one in the far north, just above hell pit (can't quite see it as I'm on the other side of the map)
Had a funny situation playing as Tretch where a full stack marched all the way through my lands, going from their southern territory to their northern territory.

Hello! Is it a bug that the starting objectives don't change to reflect the moved characters? I am playing as Changeling who has moved to Lustria, but his starting objective is still to take a town in the empire.

BTW Cathay actually has one of the best campaigns, goes from being boring steamroll to actually having to face serious enemies north of the wall while also dealing with internal threats. Holding bastion is critical and there is a good reason to upgrade it all the way to Lv. 5.

I'm unsure of the exact reason, however, it appears the mod is not working for multiplayer currently. I confirmed it worked in singleplayer yet in multiplayer everything was how it is by default.

^^^ This just got released today and its fix for the mixu problem. Just enable this mod linked and not the original until original gets patched saturday. Also this guy released another version of Imortal empires expanded as well. Same thing just enable his version and not original until patch. I'm running brand new Immortal empires expanded campaign as we speak no problems now.

because that ogre, as AI, usually gets auto-deleted. by giving him a settlement no one needs, it allows his faction to stay in the game a bit longer. and by forcing him to be allied with WE, it keeps empire from allying with WE too soon

Aurora: I don't recommend that mod for either vanilla or living world. It just doesn't work for all the factions that start outside of home base, e.g. imrik/lokir/teclis/rakarth, just to name a few. And without strategic threat factions are less likely to go to war
