There's lots of space in side compartments for all additional standard cores, a room for more generators and fuel tanks and a larger room just for adding more devices (capacitors / chargers) / cargo extensions, shield generators, but only to the size of 3X3.

Yes, as mentioned in the text above ;) You can assign any future or existing turrets to the Attack Bank signal. At stock only the defense bank works with 10 sentrys assigned to it.
