floats just fine for me, then again i do have buoyancy at 5

I'm seeing which of your naval designs work with the Water Mod .
This one does not float. A little buoyancy under the landing pad could get it to float.

That is Project 747, it is designated as an Orbital Assault Ship (inspired by real life Amphibious Assault Ships), which is basically a light carrier.
