MSC is not a dependency, no. The code hasn't been updated to 1.10 yet, though I have no clue why the water would break specifically in vanilla but not in MSC.

is msc meant to be required for this?? i tried playing it with only the new horizons dependencies enabled and the modded regions spawned in fine, but everytime i touched any body of water it'd just freeze the game [background still moved, entities wouldn't]. i turned on msc and it stopped freezing but it wasn't a listed dependency. also the starting screen had downpour art too even without the mod enabled
i'm just curious on whether vanilla is meant to be supported or not since it's just the water that makes it unplayable

There's such a strange air surrounding this mod. Especially reading about it on the wiki; the dialogue, the history, the design and the association w/ The Inv, give it this feeling of existential sadness and wonder. Like it shouldn't exist, and yet here it is.

Genuinely great mod, I'd honestly be more disappointed if it WAS a finished product. :steamthumbsup::steamthumbsup:

Just checked, and the gate change for Inv seems to work. The new placement also 'makes sense' for how the rest of Inv's alternate gate routes are arranged. But thanks for allowing Inv to escape the Abyss side of ONH!

The huge changes to Enot's /Inv's campaign for this region set are great. Giving them an alternate start in Farlands, providing alternate and surreal connections to base game regions, and even adding two whole extra regions just for them is really cool!

However, I need to point out that it's very frustrating how both of their 'proper exits' from the Abyss region are fully cut off: both a lack of a finished alternate gate to Subterranean, and the Shaded Citadel's gate leading to a closed-off dead end.

Please consider finishing the Abyss <--> Subterranean connection for Enot / Inv, or if not, then at least re-open their connection to the rest of the Shaded Citadel's Memory Crypts sub-region. Otherwise they are forced to backtrack all the way to their two unique regions to find any other route out of here, since the Abyss & Oil Station both lead to the Exterior, but 'stuck' & closed off from the rest of the world in-between them.

after the second gate (the one with the glowing orange food) i cant use the bunker and the third room+ the rest of the map is unreachable. i think that i have a still in development version, cause most of the backrounds alsso have random bits missing. love y'all, have a good day.

couple things, update dependencies pls, also when will we get new horizons? if you don't know specifically, can i at least get a rough estimate? before or after the watcher comes out? also, will new horizons be a single mod like this one or a series of mods?

Thanks for mentioning that the region arts were missing, I somehow hadn't noticed. I'll update the mod as soon as I can, which may be in a couple of days.

I had plans to commission a VU region art, but since the region isn't finished yet I can't really represent it without major spoilers.

I noticed VU didn't have either safari or region art (or a display name) - if you would like to add them in, I found editing Railway's safari icon seemed convincing. I cooled the image down, increased the brightness and added white pixels to imitate snow and that did the trick for me. https://imgur.com/a/h4W5KL0

Amazing regions! I can't imagine the time it took to create, refine and *render* each massive room. Sure, many pathways lead nowhere, but the variety makes for interesting platforming situations that would never have made it into the base game.

One thing though, I found there was no region art in game. In the files, the 'scenes' folder just didn't exist. I've reinstalled the workshop mod, and checked on RainDB (which I think scrapes from steam?) but it still didn't exist there. I know that I've seen Oil Station's region art in some video, and both Abyss and Industrial District are on the wiki, so surely it was removed by accident?

Also the teaser on the region lease for the region at the end of NNH makes me quite excited for it ;D

There is a pearl in Central Factory, but it's a very tough one to find. Expeditions could give you pearl tasks for regions that had no pearls prior to 1.9.15, but on the current version of the game it should never give you an impossible pearl task.

@Arch Oh, that's a weird bug. More on CRS since that's the mod that adds the functionality, but I'll see if we can get it fixed.

totally in love with this mod, but i did notice while playing through it on spearmaster, broadcast tokens don't get filled out in the collection or the collectible tracker on the hibernation screen after activating them. would love it if this could get fixed! <3

even if i have some personal gripes with the gameplay, especially in suburbs, i can still say that alot of these regions are undoubtedly really beautiful and interesting to explore

central factory and railway are some of my personal favourites, and central factory is a platforming level! (something id usually be in agony with)
