I try to switch gems with d-special but it just destroys my current gem. Did she get a rework?

The sprites are really clean, and it has a lot of potential, but the special moveset feels very dull, and her combo game is lacking really hard. The star feels the same as the crescent, just worse, and the crescent doesn't even feel good to use, as it's inconsistent at times, leaving me to only use the diamond.
