I cannot test on Mac but on Windows it works fine. It has no new art so I'm not sure where the issue would be. Make sure you actually have the Yongle DLC active and no other mods are causing the issue.

This mod crashes new games on Mac as of March 2025

Game crashes!

Does this mod make anyone else’s game crash?
buttmoo 11. apr. 2023 kl. 3:07
Definitely yes!

There's the option to make the adjacency from city center appear during placement, in the empire lense, and count towards getting high-adjacency moments. Downside: it would only work on tiles with an Appeal of 0 or higher. What do y'all think, worth making the change?

Oof, thanks for the info. Looks like I had already added that change but never uploaded it. Will fix that ASAP.

In fact from testing I'm fairly confident that Yongle is still getting his vanilla bonuses on top of the ones added by this mod

As someone ust dipping my toe into making my own mods I was looking at your SQL code- how does your code remove the previous leader ability? Sukritact's sumer rework explicitly deletes the old abilities but yours doesn't

yall sleeping on how broken yongle is in unmodded.

It is just nerf Yongle

@Kenraali: unmodded Yongle gets yields just for high population, here you have to get high population for district slots and then actually build those districts. It requires a lot more production investment to actually get somewhere. You have to adjust where you found your cities. Unmodded Yongle can just stick to the project and keep growing fast and the yields come automatically, I feel like that was way stronger.

@KylinTang: thank you very much, translation has been added!

I think the base Yongle was already kinda strong, but now it's even better. Can you make a different version that REPLACES the base Yongle trait (converting production into food, gold or faith with a city project) with the one you proposed, ie. adjacency bonus on districts adjacent to a city center? I'd even remove the triple bonus for 20 pop, that is kinda strong.

Simplified Chinese Translation:所有城市可通过城市项目将生产力的50%转化为食物或信仰值,金币则为100%。邻近市中心的区域可获得标准的相邻加成,城市达到10人口加成翻倍,20人口加成为三倍。

not yet but the description is rather short, so if anyone wants to provide a translation, just do so here in the comments and I'll include it.

Does it support Chinese Simplified ?

Suggestion: Reword the description to read "Districts receive an additional standard adjacency bonus .." so that it's clear you'll start out receiving 1.5, not 1.0.

@Constantine05: fair, I think the entire concept would have to be designed separately for City Lights, so I wouldn't recommend using this mod alongside it.

@Stahlseele: yes, most abilities aren't very strong if you ignore 2/3 of them. But also remember that these adjacencies are on top of regular ones, meaning a city center actually *starts* by giving +1.5, whereas Japan's city centers just give +1. And you can't just ignore the scaling considering how easily Yongle can get big cities (and it's at 10 and 20 citizens, not 20 and 30).
Gerand Darthmore 20. jan. 2023 kl. 16:42
This kinda works badly with city lights mod... so no thanks.
Stahlseele 20. jan. 2023 kl. 14:47
Aside from the double and triple at 20 and 30 pop, isn't this just . . a worse japan?
Woozie 20. jan. 2023 kl. 6:44
@ JNR
I phrased that poorly. As you mentioned about the Government plaza being a bit of a trap, it'd be cool if it also offered this boost to attached districts (but not stack with the city boost). Helps if your locations are poor (spawn with luxuries around the first ring of your city, a mountain, a lake tile, a wonder etc.).
JNR  [ophavsmand] 20. jan. 2023 kl. 4:33
Not sure how it's a liability? You can place it in the 2nd ring for some really good adjacencies. If you place two cities at minimum distance, you can even place city-center adjacent districts on the *other* side of the Government Plaza. In either case though, going for optimal Government Plaza adjacencies is often a trap anyway, it's more important to get it out fast and focus on immediate gains over endgame adjacencies.
Woozie 20. jan. 2023 kl. 4:10
I like the idea though feels like the government district becomes a little bit more of a liability. What if the government building also had this bonus? That way your core government cities are these massive powerhouses and then you have far flung cities on the outskirts of your empire.

Amazing.
