Love this in concept but I can't seem to get it to work, they don't seem to be available for processing

Is andesite supposed to be craftable in nickle seed ?

And for those that says that wild plants can't be gathered, you're only half right. You need a high level in gatherer in order to yield something from wild plants

Is it possible to get this to work without the More Entities mod? I mainly ask because I use the more visitors, sieges, and caravans and I use to get it to work but it is not working because of that mod.

Hello,

I am also encountering the earlier-mentioned error where wild-plants are seen around, but cannot be gathered. They can be designated to be gathered, and the dwarf goes to the plant and does the job, but no products are harvested and the plant remains afterwards.

Thanks you very much, i think theses plants should at best be harvested once a year to feel balanced and fun.

@FrenchRobot If you open this mod's folder, open the objects folder and then open the plant_standard_modified.txt file you can edit the plants. Each plant has a token called [GROWDUR:2000], change the value to increase the growing time (one season is 1008), change the [MATERIAL_VALUE] in [USE_MATERIAL_TEMPLATE:SEED:SEED_TEMPLATE] to increase the cost of the seeds.

Hello, is there a way to make the growth of theses plants even slower? Or make them even more ridiculously expensive to create and buy ?

There is a bug with wild plants (not on farm plots) where dwarfs will not collect them successfully. If plant generated in a plant gathering zone then its rather big issue as dwarf will just stand there trying to collect it but constantly failing to do it.

@A Nickel I think you misunderstood what I meant, this mod already does exactly what you're asking, I was just saying that if some other mod was to replace the entity_default file then it would overwrite this one. This mod already uses [SELECT_ENTITY:MOUNTAIN], you can take a look in the mod files to see for yourself if you want.

If you're replacing the entity_default file you can instead use the new select_entity function to make this compatible with other mods. As it is, this will be incompatible with anything that changes entity_default.

Could you change the method to instead [SELECT_ENTITY:MOUNTAIN], and then add your new reactions to that? That would make your mod work with any other that change dwarves.
