Okay, so, I've got an update. Kinda.

I'll be clear, I can't update the mod, but if someone did decide to keep it maintained I would be grateful. I'd do it myself but I genuinely don't have the patience to figure out what it's problems are for the latest version on a game I honestly haven't played since 2023 lol.

You'll see me more around the Minecraft or KSA/KSP or Brickadia communities nowadays. I even make mods for those games.

But I just do not have the capacity to update this mod, i've tried on a few occasions and just couldn't figure it out. Balancing my constant battle with chronic illness, and developing mods is a tough line to balance, and bc I don't play Vic3 anymore I don't have the capacity to update it.

So this is your "go-wild" message to make your modern day mod, using the assets & code from here, so long as you give credit!

Is there a group that is currently developing a full Modern Day mod? I would be interested in joining. I know that I would instantly loose motivation on my own lol.

1: this mod is not a complete "overhaul & total conversion" mod, literally says Early Alpha - it was never in a phase to be used for full games.
2: this mod is defunct, and hasn't been updated since Early 2023- it's obviously NOT going to work on the latest version.

The mod doesn't work, all of these questions have been answered in the description.

It looks good but the shear amount of errors is insane as well as all the trash mounds dotting the map.

Why does landscape has weird trash like hills on every corner? Like those from war or something like that.

there has been a desire to update this, however I've hit a brick wall as the game refuses to give me any insight into why loading it causes a crash. If I can get it functional again, i will update it. But trying to update a mod from one of the earliest versions of the game to the latest update is a challenge I'm not well equipped for.

I'm trying to avoid rewriting the mod as that would introduce more issues.
