Thanks for the information. Though right now, I do use three different workshop mods that each change one separate building icon. So, I'm looking for more mods that have alternate building icons. I can link the ones I use if you wanna look into how those ones work?

I haven't modded anything so apologies if my response is meaningless.

@Demon In Demin: Changing icons for buildings is a lot more involved, and unless there were developments we missed, mods that change building icons are mutually exclusive--at least, we don't know any way to change the building icons without changing everything in buildings.png. Our sincerest apologies, though we hope this helps clarify things!

could you change the cursor icon for the building too?

@TDarkShadow: We thought about it, but not only is changing icons live on the fly just, a NIGHTMARE (it turns out, no upgrades or achievement in-game does that already except for the "locked achievement icon displaying a different icon"!), we figured if anyone wanted to only have this running for December or for while they have the Christmas season active, they'd probably just manually enable/disable the mod.

The ease of simply enabling/disabling mods at any time, combined with the fact that doing that would be a coding nightmare, meant we just kinda left it at a standard icon mod and there's nothing checking the seasons or nothin'.

Would it be possible to add a season check so the cursors are only changed into mittens during Christmas / Winter season?

@Arkin: ...Like, your PC cursor? Cookie Clicker is a javascript game, it doesn't influence your own PC cursor whatsoever. This is in regards to the icons for the cursor building's upgrades and achievements.

@Sherirk: It would technically be possible, yes, but no matter what we couldn't get it to actually look good. This might just be because we don't really like how the cursors around the cookie look in general and usually play with those off, though.
