All parts now show what body part they affect in the description of the gene. Hooray! No more super long and annoying mod description.
There are weird things happening with my game for sure, I'm good to try to reinstall some mods too, maybe the game itself.
May I ask you one last favor ? I would you to test something for me, since your game apparently works better than mine. Would mind testing the two following mods : "OOPS all bug parts" and "Alpha gene", then try to add genes like "moth eyes" or "feralisk eyes", and see if it make any cosmetic change (with [NL] Facial animation activated of course).
I'm asking that in order to be sure if it's a global thing or only with your mod
I ran the game with just Core, the 3 dlcs, harmony, facial animation and your mod and it was not working:

Since you have screenshots on the page that definitely shows the mod working, maybe it used to work but maybe an update from Facial animation or from Rimworld broke it.
So I would not consider them as "optional" for the moment :/
I have [NL] facial animation and Vanilla texture for it.
I to change this mod place in the load order, nothing changed. I tried with Vanilla texture removed, nothing changed. I tried without [NL] facial animation, nothing changed.
I see nothing in the log. Do you have any idea on why it could not work ? Or maybe faces of the rim is a hard requirement ?
Update also adds a new category that all the genes in the mod are under for easier categorization.
The two appendages have: -Manipulation x125%
The wings have: +0.5 move speed, +0.1 melee dodge chance
The demon tail is +5% manipulation
