Nice ambience and rlly cool logic, the first room specially was clever! Though I feel like the huge amount of portalable surfaces makes the puzzles seem harder/more complex than they really are

excellent design

Very enjoyable, had a lot of fun with it. Have to agree w/Dark Rozen, parts of it looked very familiar. But still...

Fun map, i swear i've seen the design of the first room somewhere

I say about middling in difficulty but leaning over-easy. First section gave the game away, I think, well solving first section meant the solution to second section comes in realtime as you see it.

This picture is enough of a hint: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2787238507

Slow down the Hammer work, I can see sub-TV FPS with crusher. Since Portal 2 is old most player expect smooth framerate now, and the middle traverse area is something of yawn-fest; but game is really good so I hope you do a cleaned up version.

I made it through both of them pretty easily, and I must say that the visuals are really good and the lighting is spot on, I also loved the first one a little more than the second, also, I just feel like the first one is a little harder. Def added to my fav levels.

Brilliant!

Second chamber saw solution fairly quickly...but for those stumped like me for an hour on the first (actually noclipped past it, did the second part, and came back) there that prevents you from taking the cube into the chamber between the doors. It was SO SIMPLE and obvious, but I managed not to avoid seeing it for quite some time:steamfacepalm:
LeeSpork 10 ENE 2019 a las 15:51
Very fun, though I'm disapointed that the cube is blocked from going into the startling noise room by an invisable force field instead of a fissler.

Absolutely loved the way the answers were in plain sight, an invisible tutorial straight out of half life 2

Good map :)

First room was hard, but managed. Second one so hard!!!! Only by read comments I understood that I can stop spikes. I was thinking that I should jump on camera, then just run on corner :D Nice, good job but too hard for me.
Benzolamps 16 AGO 2017 a las 1:15
Nice game! Puzzle is too easy.
Konke 22 JUN 2017 a las 9:42
Very good, indeed. Looks good, nice puzzles and a compelling difficulty. Cheers!
Chron 8 JUN 2017 a las 19:06
Great design, but puzzles were too easy and too similar to one another.
YUKI_67 6 JUN 2016 a las 7:57
I subscribe to you, you are a very good designer. Your maps could absolutely be part of the history of the game !

Wow! Fun chamber once you know the "trick"!
Anwanak 2 NOV 2014 a las 22:22
There's only one glitch i found, on the first part of this map, at the 2 doors, you can put a cube in the door when its open and then close it (Using the lazer) and then you can jump on it and basicaly noclip through that door. without cheats
BOT BRAŇO 26 OCT 2014 a las 13:26
Great test chambers, also great LOOKING test chambers. However I´m 100 % sure I did every chamber by way which it wasnt mean to be done like.
Nobody No-One 21 AGO 2014 a las 15:05
Great example of how pristine chambers can look good and play well.
tanger2b 15 AGO 2014 a las 0:38
Done with 5 portals. 0/5 could noclip to end. Thumbs up.
Mr. P. Kiwi  [autor] 8 AGO 2014 a las 6:46
@Rhada - Nope, that was not the solution, try again...
@Mr. Crowely - I'm glad you enjoyed it! Weird though, the crushers always worked for me. All of them. I'll check it, and if I'll manage to figure the problem, I'll fix it. If not, try to reload the map, maybe it'll help.
KyloX 5 AGO 2014 a las 2:38
As Cyborg_10101 said, when you finaly see the solution, you realy want to slap yourself.

The puzzles had very important thing - simple and confusing at the same time; simple, yet confusing. After figuring the first puzzle, the second one becomes very easy as it uses similar expect.
The design was very well done, it had detial, it had backstage, it had normal beauty.

Bugs:
* In the second chamber, only the last crusher works, as the others never moved.

Well done and good luck

When you realise the solution, you kick yourself! Not as hard as I was making it, I'll give it 5 funny faces ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Interesting puzzles. Good looking map too.
Rh4d4 31 JUL 2014 a las 11:17
Hi! Your maps were excellent! But I don't know if I solved the first one correctly. My solution was this: Use the cube as a support for the glass cube near the lazer receptor, the put the glass cube on top of the cube, but let it fall just a little to change the angle of the lazer. I think it was hard and maybe it was not the correct way to solve it. If it was, congratulations! It was very hard and fun! If it wasn't... I'll have to expend my weekend trying to solve it again!
bastard 30 JUL 2014 a las 11:28
finished it, very good map.

i can't solve it I am stuck in first room am not asking for answers am just saying well done.
Kibate 29 JUL 2014 a las 12:04
No, you have to think WITH the box!
Get it? huh?

Okay, bad pun aside, awesome two puzzles, i especially liked the first one.

@ZAEROS - That was the whole idea! Thanks for playing :)
ZAEROS 28 JUL 2014 a las 1:28
You changed the wall to the left of the laser switch in first room, Was just possible to hit exit switch without using cube to block the laser! Was fun solving again. Thank you.

For all those pondering on cubes falling down stairs, and weird solutions, it has been fixed.

Awesome!
Konke 27 JUL 2014 a las 11:36
Just a thought: It would be cool if you used an actual train and the Glados comment. There are train models in Hammer from the Super 8 DLC. Perhaps not logic but still funny.

All in all, a satisfying experience. Well done.
Konke 27 JUL 2014 a las 11:36
Well, I gave it a second shot. The first puzzle was indeed very clever. Can't recall ever using a cube to block a laser to get further. Some simple feedback from a mapper to another:
* The sign at the entrance seems to have a trigger_multiple. When you walk away from it it turns off and when you walk close to it again it turns on. Perhaps this is intended. To be true to the original Portal puzzles the sign is "always" turned on.
* When you finish the first puzzle and walk through the door to the next area, it looks like you can bring the blocking cube because there is no emancipitation grid. Instead you chose to put a block. Doesn't look as good, imho.
* Autosave after the first puzzle would be nice.
* It looks like it's possible to walk to the exit at the back of the smashers, but you seemed to have placed a playerclip there. Why not narrow the walkway?
Konke 27 JUL 2014 a las 11:07
I really do want to give this a fair shot but at the same time I really don't like when you get trapped in maps. I tried to throw the cube down beneath the stair arms, onto the catwalk. No new cube spawned. Have I missed something or is this a miss? Cheers!

yo Kiwi, is this the correct solution for Chamber 2? It looks strange :cwat:

While not terribly hard, the puzzles were certainly very original and made clever use of a basic mechanic. Great job.

I also liked how you used the voice line after the puzzle.

Looking for feedback on my latest singleplayer map:
