I wish there was Marjan's memorial in game, I have been trying to learn how to make my own assets so that I can dedicate one to Marjan
For those who don't know, Marjan was born in 1976, he arrived in Kabul zoo at the age of 2, a gift from Germany for Kabul. After the soviet occupation in 1989, Afghanistan lives through a civil war which will end in 1992. Kabul is in total chaos, the zoo is directly in the battlefield, it will be bombed many times and the medical quarters of the zoo will be completely destroyed. In 1995 Marjan will be attacked after he killed a soldier who attempted to touch his female. The soldier's brother will then throw a grenade in the face of Marjan.

He will lose his sight, his earing and a part of his jaw. The aggressor was tracked down and executed for that. 1996, talibans invade Kabul and the zoo is left abandoned. The employees can no more take care of the zoo at the best of their ability and almost all the animals die, some starve to death, some get killed and eaten by the population who is also starving and in 1998 only 19 animals remain. Marjan is one of them.
In 2001 the Americans take Kabul, he is the last lion of Afghanistan, the world discovers what he has lived through. He recieves his first treatment in years. He will die a few weeks later in january 2002. Marjan became the symbol of the sufferings of Kabul.
A beautiful bronze memorial of Marjan was then built inside the zoo. A beautiful place with a fountain behind him and his name right next to his statue.
