Added Feature: "Autocut any harvested stump regardless of location" to auto-cut outside of the set zone.

Defaulting this feature to Enabled for new saves.

re: Firshpear There is a setting in options for disabling spawning stumps outside of the stump-cut zone. That would solve the issue of "I don't want stumps on my map at all. But you won't be getting the wood from it. In testing I found my pawns moving waay out on the edges of the map losing a ton of time randomly.

I can add it as an option "Ignore stump cut zone and cut all stumps" if you/others find the need for _cutting_ those stumps vs those stumps not existing.

combat extended is a massive overhaul mod and could have taken up a a label used. most mods wont work with it unless patched for it.

I don't think it would be hard to add that toggle. Whenever I unbury my PC from things I will hit you up with the update. It just may be a bit. (again if someone wanted to add that I am open to mark someone as contributor and merge the pr) never expected harvesting stumps would be incompatible with ce. Who woulda thunk

I don't know, like it worked perfectly fine the other day. But then I started to put together a CE mod list, since I've played Rimworld for years and never tried CE out figured I'd give it a shot and now if the stumps are marked to be "Harvested" (Scissor Icon) my plant cutters won't touch the things, so I have to still go back and manually mark them to "cut" (the machete Icon) then they'll cut them.
No clue why it's like that or what's causing it. Honestly I did a stupid thing and built my CE list off my usual list (800~ mods so there's the problem, BUT I'm down to 773 so that's progress lol)

It's not a big deal though, it's just a minor inconvenience to have to do it manually. But when things work out on your end, if you wouldn't mind doing it that would be great cause I can wait, like maybe an option to toggle between "Cut" and "Harvest" for the mod in options? But good luck with your IRL things man, Thank you for making mods.

Smiley, unfortunately I can't hop on yo change it to cut from harvest. Computer is packed away due irl things. Why can't your pawns harvest ? If someone wants to make the change the GitHub link is listed and I will merge their pr, but I unfortunately can't make this change currently. Though your use case intrigues me

I'm having an issue with the tree stumps. They are correctly being auto targeted but they're being marked for "harvest" instead of "cut". And my pawns won't touch the stump if it's marked for "harvest", not sure if it's a mod conflict thing or what but yea

no I was responding to some of the early messages, I mod a bit so just leaving a suggestion, either find the thing def for each stump type to check in the code or you can just burnt a tree with fire explosion then use an exstingusher explosion to put it out to try it out in game

Are you running into a bug with burnt or broken stumps? I hooked into "try spawn stump" method. There isn't a try spawn burnt stump iirc. I tried testing broken stumps definitely, I had issues testing burning the stump .

a needed qol, sure stumps are great to train 0 to 5 plant charactors but the hassel to rehighlight after a clear cut before they die is tedious ;3.

Those are 100% completely opposite things. And I believe you are right it is a bug, and not just a variabl-misname. I can swap that around. I had difficulties testing that feature since it felt like it almost never comes up, Lighting an area on fire can leave stumps but typically the fire would then destroy the stump. I'll probably rename the Field instead of modify the code. "Only autocut trees that were chopped" default False.

Sorry, but the second mod option says "Autocut stumps from trees that weren't chopped", but your code says "onlyAutocutHarvestedStumps". My english is poor, are these two completely opposite things?

@pompan you can decide the area you want to auto cut in , so a work around would create an area specifically for that then drag the entire map and change the are in which you cut stumps.

But I can potentially add an option for it, should be quick.

Warning though, I don't think you actually want that. Initial version without areas, I found my pawns running all over the map spending so much time in transit cleaning up random stumps. Which is why I added the option to just to prevent spawning stumps outside of the home area so they still don't exist and I don't lose time from my pawns running to nowhereland to chop
