Hi everyone, at the moment I don't have the time nor the motivation to fix the mod. This was a very basic and simple mod, I don't know how the update could have broken it, I didn't change anything related to the succesion law as far as I remember. Either way, this is not a definitive goodbye and I may fix it and improve it in the future.

Is the mod broken atm? I've just 'lost' due to having no heir, despite having two male heirs in my male preference county, and now am getting the warning again after having joined back in as my son despite this character having an heir too

When it works in version 1.9 will cause the succession law to become invalid.

Well, as someone who has tested this mod thoroughly, I appreciate the work that Alex has done, and I have had my best campaigns from this mod. If you dont like it, make another mod, or go someone else Dracane.

Cute. Another mod that thinks giving enemy AI troops and stats and debuffing the player will achieve anything. The AI readiness and aggressiveness is just inherintly messed up and they are scared of the player whenever he has more than half their troops.

We do not need artifical debuffs and buffs when game rules exist to tweak that already. We need a Chad that goes into the code and touched the relevant values. :D Only then will the game be challenging no matter how big you become.

i give it another try but still unmarried kings has big negative for me may i suggest you give the ai health -0.8 to -0.3 and marriage acceptance -70 to -40-50s . i may send you my save you can see problem

Please note that when "finding a spouse" you will need to switch fertility to "All" in order to see candidates due to the global fertility reduction.

Please also note that the default spouse search is set to "Fertile", because this mod affects "Fertility", please search using "All" as opposed to only "Fertile" spouses.

i really enjoy the all other things i can feel challenge now but after 3 hours play most ai dont have heirs.

Hey WTID, the fertility is currently a bit low, but we are having issues with concubines and muslim rulers flooding the map with Heirs. From my testing, most AI do betroth and marry. As the Player, you will often need to pick a fertility trait from education if you want to pump out kids. I enjoy it because it forces players to adapt to their needs by using something they wouldnt have before. Global AI will get a slight boost, we believe. We are also looking at a -25 as opposed to -30 which should open up more bethrothal options, in theory. Thanks for your comments!

@Axis - you can edit all of the values really easily, and they will not be overwritten unless the mod is updated or you download the mod again for some reason.

Just go to the location below (may be a different hard drive letter)

C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2896014998\common\modifiers

and edit "hard_difficulties_modifiers.txt " with any text editor.

You take a copy of your file and place it somewhere else as a backup

maybe not reduce health that much but instead increase diseases and injuries severity by a lot... like, a inury could very easily become infected... which would be a serious condition without antibiotica(penicilin)

Hey d_ll! As he said, we are still balancing fertility and alliances, when we get the values that are as realistic as possible we will take a look to the knights effectiveness. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks DL! Its a WIP, but I like the feel of the current campaign, we are just adjusting the fertility issues as the number of children and alliances was extreme, and prevented conquering a county, in some cases. ( 4 alliances, cant really breakout of county)

Hey Squashbuckler! The similar name could be confusing, "limit" refers to how many soldiers can be in a regiment (-1 means -100 soldiers), while "cap" means how many regiments you can have. And it would be really helpful if we could both playtest the mod, I will send you a private message through Steam and let me know what you think

Hey Alexxito, I noticed you may have removed the "regiment limit", but mine still says, "Realistic -1" is that correct? Do I need to start a new game? Maybe we can hold off on too many changes =). I think this -1 limit could be a good thing. Awesome work btw.

I really like how it forces us to use other perks... I had to use "Duty" under stewardship just to hire more courtiers.. I like that.

Oh man, I dunno about the 10 percent seduce debuff. I cant get my chaste wife to sleep with me. lol. I love the challenge, it makes you adapt or fine alternate paths. Victory will be much more sweet... if it comes. lol

@squashbuckler I feel ya. Tried as Alfred, he died at 29 gout ridden, his son died from stress at31, his son was only 1. Narrrowly white peaced a faction, vassaling Mercian was a big mistake.

Given it a couple of hour and yes its definatly a step in the right direction. The buffs to AI is a tad extreme imo but I love the extra stress etc. Makes you really think through. Was playing with more active vassals mod so made for some very interesting gameplay.

Really appreciate this mod! Started playing as Korinth, and I am immediately jammed up. Needed to strip the other castle, recruit more pikemen, leverage alliances, and even trade a kid away to keep my alliance up. I am stuck. Fantastic! (Not sarcasm, I love it!)

Was abit put off by this, giving the AI such buffs while handicapping myself. But loving it so far.

Thanks! The mod is still WIP and there is possibly values that are too difficult and other values that are too easy, I'll be testing today the vassal opinion values and the gold values since I think they may be a bit easy
