I'm checking out of this since there's nothing left to say, if this mod gets taken down or tied to VE Apparel I'll edit down the vanilla parka and make something equivalent to what this mod was supposed to be. Two separate people had this idea so people clearly want a standalone fur coat made by someone.

Yeah I'm not disagreeing, hopefully this mod gets left alone cus there are a lot of VFE artwork/items I wish was just standalone mods, like this!

You also assume I use VE mods a bunch, I've tried them but everything is either bloated and filled with unnecessary events/features, or overtuned and useless compared to the other mods I run. Some of the textures and ideas are nice. Things like Dubs would suck to lose or if half the weapon mods on the workshop poofed overnight. Far too many other mods exist that do it more to my taste, including local files ive done.

I'm just someone that cares about the end user, I don't make anything off modding and I have nothing to gain or lose. I see a disease in people's minds and I seem to be one of the few people not looking for personal gain.

To see people utterly miss the point after all these years is so sad, people only think about winning arguments and criticism being insulting and trolling focused, the collective consciousness in our society is broken on fundamental levels. The mods ARE professional grade, it's not about insulting someone or their work, it's about showing people their own greed and the effects it has. It's also not about how much money is made, any amount of money involved ruins a modding community because it devolves into things like this. Modding was always about creating more for strangers without any personal gain other than the satisfaction of a good job. We're already borrowing off someone else's game to begin with.

2036 patreons @ for shit's sake, $1 tier, 30% cut from patreon is about $1400. I dunno what kinda monthly groceries you are getting man. I was going to say it probably goes towards other modders, but the final goal of the patreon is for him to be a professional modder. So $1400 pays cheap rent and some bills. Honestly, he isn't rolling in money. But locking discord support behind patreon is always a grubby move.

Patreons don't pay enough to even buy monthly groceries. Its amazing how people think Patreon donations are a massive wage and big funding like a multi-million dollar corporation.

He's only had two incidents. Did you actually do your research? If you did, you would understand three things.

First: Vanilla Expanded only makes money through a PATREON. To which barely 10% of VE's users even donate. That's a pittance.

Second: The VE Team does this shit for free, the Patreon is not even necessary. Infact, if vanilla expanded removed all its mods tomorrow. I know for an absolute fact you would lose your mind.

Third: if Oskar was as bad as you say he was, he wouldn't admit fault, he wouldn't have dealt with Neronix and would have let the code remain, but no, he removed it quickly.

Oh, and you utterly suck at insults. You called them professional, which is nothing but a compliment. Yet next turn you bash them. You are -terrible- at this.

Two? I've been criticizing Oskar and the greed of this team for years now try a higher number than just two for that. You can hate me but you know at the end of the day money corrupts and warps people. I also don't have a large professional team funded in some part with donations that can churn out anything, small authors want to make small non-profit work to make people enjoy the game more and get bullied around by the big teams trying to turn a profit, its sad that this used to be about making people happy.

Peacefully, with threat of removing someone's work because someone thinks they own a couple of pixels, people like that ruin modding communities with their overwhelming greed.

I don't need you to threaten 'futility' of my actions, I'm trying to resolve this peacefully and in a friendly manner with Bosh, the author.

Not to mention the teams history of being art and code thieves being ironically angry their own free work is being taken when they even advertise another game on their mod pages, but either way good luck getting steam to actually take a mod down for you since they don't look at reports.

Steam is pretty bad about doing anything about reports so good luck, its funny that Oskar paywalls his discord with Patreon but expects people to figure out how to contact him.

Alternatively you can make this mod into a patch mod, as long as my graphics aren't copied into your folder structure!

in all honestly it shouldn't really matter since Oskar has admitted to stealing art as well, but regardless he'll probably have you make VAE as a requirement to run this mod, as was the case with the mod "Vanilla Parka Retexture (VAE) (abandoned)." i honestly wouldn't have even mention for you to modify it considering of the whole art theft thing had they not previously threaten to report mods that take their own work unironically.
