If I made it so hair is not deleted, then the headsets would need to be either on top of the face or under the hair (no other options available)
If it was on top of the face, then it would also be on top of any hat for some reason, and it would look very dumb and incorrect
If it was under the hair, then you would have big headsets being under thin hair which looks even more dumb
The way I fixed this was to make it so you can decide whether the headsets are drawn {on top of the face} or {normally} using a button when wearing it. This comes at no cost and you can do it as many times as you want. Just switch to the version that fits and looks better.
Slight side effect is that the airset will change colours a bit
