Hello, currently using your mod with a xbox controller, and whenever i command a thrall with the remote, my game makes a constant sound as if i still trying to select a command but im not. any help would be greatly appreciated

Found it, Spare Named has a Option to kill or not. I cant disable that there. I only want more Inventory 4 Thralls, so i disable the Mod Spare Named and Remote Controll works! Thanks.

You're probably using it in combination with another mod, like better thralls, without disabling their similar system

First of all, your mod is great! Thanks. But since the latest patch, I've noticed a bug where when switching from, an sharp weapon to a club, the thrall gets stuck in the animation. Iam the only one with this problem? Thanks.

Probably looking at the wrong thrall radial menu :)
It's in the one that appears when you have a thrall following but you do NOT target the thrall, so point to an empty location and hold interact.

I play with a controller and I'm not seeing any of this mod's commands in the thrall radial menu. Am I doing something stupid here, or is there something I need to do to make it show up? It works perfectly with keyboard shortcuts

Any chance you're using it alongside Better Thralls? That mod has a similar function and it will try to enforce whatever setting you have on there.. so when my mod switches to truncheons Better Thralls detects that it doesn't match the setting it has and tries to swap them back, so they end up fighting each-other.

My mod has a switch in the settings where you can disable this feature which would prevent this conflict, but then the truncheon commands from my mod won't do anything and you have to manage it with Better Thralls.

Thank you for this mod. I Love using your mod to instruct thralls to help truncheon named thralls but recently when I instruct them to use truncheons they only take out the truncheons then put it away, take it out and put it away - and so on and so on in rapid succession and they don't actually do anything else (except following me) until I instruct them to use weapons again... Any ideas of what could cause this or how to diagnose it (I'm thinking it is likely another mod conflicting). It is on pvt / locally run server.

This is not for "sending" anyone anywhere, it simply switches their engagement state (passive / defensive / aggressive) watch the video attached above.

are you able to give separate commands to them? that way allowing you to send 1 thrall to engage a separate target from the other?

The way it currently works is that whichever of the two they find in their inventory first is the one they'll use.
So moving the potions before the bandages in their inventory should cause them to prioritize those instead

Amazing mod.

Would it be possible to distinguish between potions and bandages? From what I can tell: The way it is I can't tell my followers what to use and they prefer to use potions if possible.

The scope of the mod is to control your followers only - meaning thralls that are actively following you.
While you CAN make your guards quickly follow you and set them with the hotkey, that wasn't the purpose so it will obviously be less efficient for that.
There wasn't need for such a display since you can see whether your follower is trying to go and engage in combat in which case you can instantly set them to passive with a hotkey should you not want that.

Also, is there a way to view the current settings for all followers, to see if I've accidentally forgotten to apply the appropriate settings to one or more?

Is there a way to control non-active followers? Say I've got a bunch of archers at my purge base and I want to set them all to Prioritize Ranged, Attack All Enemies, Attack Distance: Highest, Chase Distance: Lowest. Rather than having to do all of that one at a time (or two at a time with War Party), is there a way I can select the archers from all of the followers in my clan and apply those commands to all of them at once?

Nope, doesn't change anything about the followers, merely gives you much more convenient ways of controlling them (as you can see in the attached video)

@Leshiko, I haven't gotten around to testing it yet myself so maybe you could try. See if any of the settings in the mod, like turning off that force truncheon thing will allow to use mine instead.
Otherwise they're still compatible, but you cannot use my weapon swap and have to disable that with the setting in my mod.

Hello.
There is a compatibility issue with your mod Follower Remote with BetterThralls (new version 2.2.3 with warcries does not work correctly with stun truncheon). Using your mind, is it still necessary to disable the change of weapons (Shift+Down)?
I don't want to criticize a respected Testerle, but your mod works more reliably. And (IMHO) mod "Auto Lights Off v1.0.1" > NPC Lamplighters by Testrle's.

Another question of idle curiosity if something would be possible, but an item like the thrall pot be made that all thralls in range could take from, but it was a barrel to place arrows in instead of going around handing them out to all the archers in your fort?

Try that, because if that fixes it, it means that it's indeed Better Thralls and when it updates it'll fix it.. and in the meantime you can play and use the remote, just temporarily not have that one feature..

Okay so what we did was just to uninstall the Remote and that bug seemed to have vanished. I am not saying this bug is caused by your mod, just know that removing it fixed it. I cannot even start to figure out which exact mod might be conflicting with the remote because we have literally about 60 mods installed so it could really be any other mod that is causing the problem. I might be able to privately send a mod list so that can be cross checked but I am not entirely sure it' worth the effort. I know that I definitely wanted the remote to be present because it's an awesome mod, just sadly doesn't work with the current setup. Keep up the good work and thanks for the quick reply! =)

There is a conflict with better thralls as you can read below in the comments, however that should not cause things to teleport around..

What it would cause though is when you switch to truncheons with my mod, Better Thralls takes it away from them as that portion of it is currently not respecting its "Force truncheon" setting.

You can still use them together, but for the time being you need to turn off the truncheon swapping in MY mod (dc frsettings) to prevent that issue with the truncheons. Once Testerle does his update, you'll be able to do the opposite as well and while having his truncheon swapping disabled you'll be able to use mine

Is there a possible glitch known with Better Thralls that causes all mobs and Thralls to stop moving and/or freezing? Installed the mod on a P-Server, suddenly whenever Thralls attack mobs, they start getting stuck, including the mobs, once a mob is dead, the mob drops at an entirely differently location from what the mob was at when it froze. I cannot explain that bug any better than that.

The mod just got a major update. Fixed various small bugs and added a configuration menu.

Use the console command `dc frsettings` to open the Settings UI.

The old version of the mod is available in the discord in case you get temporarily locked out of your server

Testerle will probably update Better Thralls soon and set up a check so that the currently conflicting portion is subject to the setting as well. Then as long as you have the experimental force truncheons disabled in his mod, they'll be fully compatible again.

It's probably best to wait and see and give him a bit of time on that, rather than jumping to adding features or making new mods :) Better thralls is an awesome mod otherwise and I use it too, just temporarily disabled it so I'd prefer them working together rather than creating more competition for it. Hopefully that makes sense.

Hello. Thank you for your excellent work. Is it possible to make an option to return a thrall/horse/pet to the inventory? To put it on the ground again? In the scope of this mod or a separate non-conflicting mod.

Added a 60% chance when using healing potions / bandages on thralls to not break the healing effect on damage received. Hopefully this'll help a bit with the recent thrall HP nerfs and make the active healing feature a bit more useful.

Also added support for Multigun's MCR, should you wish to command your horses into battle :P

The old version of the mod is available in the discord server if your server is slow to notice the update and you're getting mismatch errors.

Ah! That could very well be it. We do have Better Thralls in use and the truncheon setting for it is disabled. Will try messing with it without and see if Testerle puts out a patch on it. I have indeed noticed the fix for getting around the vanilla bug. It also helps with the vanilla bug where they get stuck with their shield raised and do nothing.

Thanks for the reply Xevyr. Your mods save me so much hassle with the vanilla game that it is kind of ridiculous. xD

Currently I've noticed a slight conflict with Better Thralls from what I've seen. It prevents them from equipping truncheons even if the setting is disabled in that mod. Testerle is aware of it and said would look into it. So that could be one possibility if you have that mod as well.

Otherwise the new AoW thrall weapon idle animations seem to be sometimes causing weapon equip animations to not work properly. Other than these.. idk, it seemed to work fine for me, in fact it fixes some Funcom bugs, for example your thralls getting stuck in an attack stance with no weapon in their hands and not attacking.. that's a basegame bug, but quickly switching back and forth to concussive and lethal fixes it and gets them out of that state.

I play mostly on private server with friends. We run mostly QoL mods including most of yours. I haven't had the time to run in single player much so I haven't gotten good test time in there. They seem to always be able to switch back to lethal weapons without problems so there is that. Everything else works flawlessly, even forcing them to heal.

I don't know if there is anything that can be done on your end or not. I know that vanilla is derpy enough with things like shields or going in with just fists while equipped with a weapon or truncheon.

Absolutely love your mods! They are perfectly sized and fill the gaps that vanilla has. I would hope that they get included as vanilla!

I do have an issue with thralls not switching to concussive weapons correctly, but I know that it might just be vanilla derpiness. They will work perfectly for hours and then simply forget how and get buggy. Everything from not switching, to using bare hands, to visual glitching where they hold both sword and truncheon at the same time.

Another modding question as you are pretty much the only one that has ever responded to me when I've mused aloud about an idea...

Would it be possible or feasible to make a mod where you could assign thralls to a team, and then summon all the thralls in that team to your side at once instead of going up to ten thralls and commanding them to follow one by one?
