Can you add torpedoes to this? Initialdesu made a tutorial on how to and I think it would be a really cool addition. Also maybe a room that is a bit more empty would be nice since mods like Hungry europans and Enhanced armaments always require new fabricators and placeables.

Umm, how did you get away with the amount of lights? Cause i got a rogue button outside the Basilisk that i can't remove because the amount of lights stops me from saving.

Thats some really useful feedback Draconis. Had no idea about the husks and icebreaker especially. I'm more a designer than a player :) Will be making a Hardcore version without infinite use items and as many of those pointers as I can implement.

Would be interested to know how the other ships balance measure up from an experienced playerespecially the copperhead.

The issue with overlapped/double hull is it tricks the AI in many instances so threshers or other things can never actually get inside. There was a notorious triple belted ship where it was impossible for monsters to target the innner hull due to stacking so nothing could ever get into the ship unless it went through a hatch.

It is a very well layed out and decorated submarine, however it constantly gets brought up in hardmode and ironman campaigns as a big sub for a large crew but the infinite use items and relative immunity to damage in certain situations cause no end of debates amongst hosts and players.

two versions would be the route to go if you wanted that.

A vanilla version would be my suggestion, with no icebreaker front where it can infinitely ram icebergs, invulnerable doors into command made normal, no gold infinite use items, cigar, battery, O2 tank etc just a normal item compliment instead of fully stocked. Chaingun is fine, Some of the armor areas need to be looked at if they are doubled up too hard. AI waypoints in brig need to be adjusted as they seem to be intentionally missing hatch waypoints for husks to enter or prisoners to be able to escape as there are three hatches with no waypoints in a row. Single pumps in the ballasts and less less powerful grid where it can become more overtaxed on a single fuel rod with less battery back up.

Still, I think instead of white light it should be a litter dimmer, maybe warm light?

Grok which mods do you use? If you look at the screenshots it's not that bright in my humble opinion. And you can always take a screwdriver to the lights and set your own preference.

Draconis, you're right - it's intended for a Barotraumatic, even nightmare campaign, and it lives up to it's title as a battlecruiser. This page used to have a 600 word explanation about all this but steam wiped it and i didnt have the heart to rewrite that.

Do you think i should make a rebalanced version for vanilla campaign?

oh dang you finally fixed the small hulls in front of the command room neat.

This sub is extremely well made but I think a lot of people who use it or suggest it need to realize it is for a very specific type of gameplay. It is for a fun campaign that does not care about balance or going for challenge due to the numerous "gold" infinite use items, heavy hull and other features which make it fun for a power fantasy stomp but it is constantly suggested for use with gritty difficulty modded campaigns. Neither game play is wrong or right but people really need to be aware of what type of game they and the other players want and avoid kitchen sink modlists that try to do everything at once.

one small problem, there is a small corner in the bottom right of command, if your player is knocked into it, you are considered outside of the sub it has fucking claimed 2 of my only fucking captains

@Grogbro I believe Falkner is referencing the "Zyleand Shipyard Drone Collection" by Zyleand. It includes three drones, Lumen, Radiant and Glimmer.

Falkner, thank you for making solid ships. Only used the Copperhead so far (First time player).

I just downloaded this sub. It looks awesome! I looked for the lumen drone in the workshop and couldn't find it. I guess I will load in the ship and see if it has a drone ;) Superb work!:steamhappy:

I think the original file is called lumen drone, it's a mod here on the workshop.
The electrical door is supposed to work if you get too close/tamper with the door while inside the brig.

Beautful submarine, it has a good amount of guns and storages for their ammunition everywhere, almost no blind spots. A prison (I personally missed it when transported prisoners that distracted my guards on other submarines, which caused uhh... consequences) And a shuttle! Not all submarines have shuttles, which is for example a big minus for the Iroh, also a great submarine. The only thing i changed in the editor are the colors of junction boxes, pipes and the reactor to dark gray. Which is what some ppl wont even care about, anyways, great submarine. :steamthumbsup:

I was going insane over why I can't find this in my mod list, chief you forgot to mark this as a submarine so when you filter "Show submarines only" in the mod list this doesn't appear.

i found a bug with the lights on the sub and some parts glitch on and off idk if this is a reoccurring issue and if there is a fix i would gladly accept how to do so

I really really like this sub, but some parts of the ship absolutely tank my framerate
Specifically near the middle of the ship near the workshop....

I'm not sure if it's related to the big bright light in the workshop itself that can't seem to be unwired or the auto guns or something else in this area...
Is there any way to edit this, or anything I can turn off in the sub to improve this?

I think auto lock doors are fine, as long as the AI don't try to go outside of the ships. One day i hope we have a full selection of ships, including some tier ones

The gorgon is new, so it needs a few revisions yet.

I've done as much as i can for the A.I. but it's simply lacking. The sad thing is in beta about a year ago they had no problem, their brains have gotten very small. My only soloution is auto open toggle, or a complete redesign to make the airlock a side door.

I have lost... a fair few AI crew with them falling out of the submarine and getting crushed when the hatch is either open or on auto open.

I will say my only issue with basalisk and gorgon is the ability to fall through the doors that auto open, I turn them off normally, but as far as i can tell that's missing from the gorgon?
