I've talked to the guy from fancy handwork before. He actually used my calculations and mod for inspiration on how he implemented unarmed in that game. You can see him credit me in the change notes. So using his mod is probably a pretty good substitute if you want the animations.

maybe ya you could reach out to the owner of the mod handwork and see if they can help implement the wraps with their mod, so we can get the animation with the wraps @Donazo

@=WL=CompoundDuck255, it should show up in the same place you craft the other ones. If you're trying to craft it by right clicking materials in your inventory youll need all the items for the option to show up. I can assure you there's no issue on the mods end as I haven't updated it in months and haven't had any other complaints like that. I hope you can figure out what's wrong. Goodluck.

@Donazo I have it enabled, since i can craft the normal ones that are cloth, but i just cannot see the reinforced ones

@=WL=CompoundDuck255, please ensure the mod is active. Unless there is somehow an interaction with another mod (which is very unlikely). You probably just did not enable it.

I can't seem to find the Reinforced Fist Wraps recipie, nor can i craft it even though i have the materials. Is this a bug?

@I AM MAD, it works like any other blunt weapons. However, I suggest checking out Brutal Handywork by the same author (Dhert). They used my mod as a baseline for the unarmed attack in that (look at their change notes - I'm credited there. Ofc if you don't want to add all the extra stuff from that, my mod is still a good lightweight system to use.

@Vrk_L, to take full advantage of master wraps or any of the fist weapons you need high short blunt skill with them.

@Vrk_L, I assure you the master wraps are much stronger than the others. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they crit higher, swing faster and do more crit damage I believe.

Is it normal that the damage it's the same for all the gloves? I thought that it would increase by a bit, not that much, maybe the master wraps being the same as a hammer. Does it increase the crit probability on each one?

@AWDSKILL, if the mod is installed and activated it should show up where normal recipes do. Just clicking a stack of cloth will show the option to make them.

The only thing from that mod that might appeal to me is custom animations, but on the off chance it doesn't have any I'll probably look elsewhere.

@Jenzy, there's a mod out there for that, I don't really want to promote it since they obviously named it to try and leech off my mod but look up fisticuffs, you'll find it.

@maxnumtownoi, I've never modded careers before, it probably wouldn't be too hard but I'm not currently modding zomboid.

@Manic, I don't know. It works like normal blunt weapons. If normal blunt weapons work with that mod then they would.

@nic I haven't changed anything about this mod so that should show up. Could be another mod you have installed messing with it, otherwise you can find it in the crafting menu manually (or should be able to). Also make sure the mod is actually enabled.

I'm not seeing the option to craft them when I right click on a stack of sheets. Is that still the crafting method?

i will say that the protection part, tho not easily noticeable in a short run, (when the game wants a run to die early... there is not a lot one can do about it...) but becomes very apparent and nice in a long game, or if you happen to try and do anything with sharp objects. honestly, proper gloves that don't hinder you would be such a boon in this game. but the wraps are a good option for defensive gear

Is this something you wear or equip on hands? So like lets say I dont have my axe equipped, then having me sort of wearing them means I can use them without looking through my inventory to equip them, meaning at all times I can resort to hand to hand combat

i guess they just felt a tad off to me, tho could be just some skills having super nasty late game options, but fair enough. was just a thought.

@infinitech, the wraps are not made to be very strong with low short blunt level at higher levels those things rip through zombies and are extremely fast compared to other weapons. I think it'd be too strong if I added another tier.

yes, i have used the MWs, but, compared to other weapon lines, they always seemed like one extra tier would make them closer to other end game comparisons. and also seemed like a material we actually see often that would be a logical choice, yet is used for very little in the game

just a thought for the mod maker, but would a military grade kevlar hand wrap seem like a good idea? we do have plenty of materials for such a thing.
