Hello! Is there a way to get your needed and epic patches in the main Firearms B41 "mod page"? Because it's a must for spanish users and this links are in the page 13 of the comments...

update: downloaded notepad++ and I make it encode to W1252 character set. It shows all wrong characters so, what should I do next to fix them? Input the ASCI combination, or just type the letter with my keyboard?

I would love if we can be friends so we can directly DM us. I'm dumb to get ASCII. I already watched videos.

also - i should note - you only need to add the files and specific items that you want to change the translations for (it all gets appended together at runtime) - i included all the items in my patch - but just for completeness and context - i could just have included the ones that i wanted to change

sure thing - easiest way to do it for yourself is to make a local copy of the mod and directly modify the translation files (will be in media\lua\shared\Translate\ES) - and just paste the correct accented characters over the incorrect ones - the problem is due to the use of different character sets - so if someone is using the UTF-8 set they will use an accented character that is actually a different numeric value to the Windows-1252 (CP-1252) character set that the games uses for Spanish - and it will show up as garbage (which reminds me i should probably put up a before and after screenshot)

if you use something like Notepad++ you should be able to set the character set for the files and see which characters are not correct

hopefully that helps - and you can use my mod as a template if you want to make a patch instead of a modified version of the mod (just remember to change the mod name, id, and dependency)

and i got it sorted - accents are back :-)

was a character set thing - and was a useful bit of education for me

plus for some reason i was never previously able to find the language selector in the PZ options - i always assumed it used the system language - but the option is right there on the main page - so it must be my brain having a problem lol

but now i can see it, it will help with my other translations - and any future work - plus hopefully it will help me learn some languages :-)

anyway - let me know if you find any more problems with the patch

and i will see about getting the rest of the Spanish translations sorted for the mod at some point (i think the sandbox options and various other things are still just in English)

I see, no problem I don't care too much about the non accented words, so any way you find to make it work it's fine, again thank you very much for the effort you are putting into this!

ok - for the moment i have replaced the accented characters with non accented ones - so at least it will read better - and i will see if i can work out why the accents don't work - i suspect it may be a Unicode thing - but the vanilla translation files just have the same characters in that i was using - very strange - anyway - this version should be a little better at least :-)

ok - i added a suffix to the 44 magnum ammo - can you get the latest version and see if the name has changed please? (if it has then i will need to find a fix for the accented letter - and if it hasn't then the patch isn't being loaded)
