Probably just some weird mod interaction. I've read that crashing after cut scenes is not uncommon, though I really did try turning off my recent mod additions in different combinations until I narrowed it down to this one.

For some reason, this mod causes the game to crash right after the cutscene when the Doomcounter would normally be added to the Geoscape. Tried turning off a variety of mods, but it is definitely this one, though I can't see why it would choose that moment to cause problems.
