@Piotrek Gelt doesn't start with any settlements so you can't start with a trade agreement with him.

Like the mod, but I think it would make more sense if you also started with diplomatic contact with the factions you're trading with. Feels very odd that traders are travelling back and forth but you can't send a diplomatic message.

One of my friends is a big fan of Skaven and would love it if some of the other clans started off with diplomatic contact with each other, especially Skryre, since the major skaven clans are spaced wide apart and frequently die out before you encounter them.

I don't like "emissaries of diplomacy." Starting the campaign with a trade agreement is more fun than what "emissaries" does.

Ragnarok's mods allow for sea lanes and trade networks. There's also an emissaries of diplomacy mod that will allow you to have "missions" where you make contact with overseas colonies and can establish trade (without "seeing" the land around them)

@AK_Snowbat Pretty sure you're confusing things here. This sets up trade routes for turn 1, to trade goods with trade partners. You're talking about trading settlements, for money or other settlements, or to make friends with gift. Check out Freiya's "Trade Settlements" for that, and its submod for reduced penalty when doing so.... You're welcome <3

Love this mod - is there any way to remove the restrictions on what settlements you can trade? Often if I caputre a tree for example which is red for me i'll want to give it back to the elfs to keep their loyalty high but since they dont touch it i can't trade it.

I don't know if this mod has had an update but I'm been playing as Marienburg for a while and upon starting a new campaign I saw that The Huntmarshals Expedition is now visible among the known factions (parhaps due to another mod?) which wasn't the case before (the trade agreement was always there from turn 1 but I couldn't do diplomacy with them until today). I don't think Grombrindal is as an officially supported colony of any dwarf faction? I believe in the lore, he's a mysterious dwarf who shows up out of nowhere to settle grudges and save dwarfs before disappearing off again.

Cathay should also trade with Tilea & Estalia: in the lore, they were the first nations from the Old World to discovery Cathay and had set up trade networks with them.

Adding cm:make_diplomacy_available before other scripts should fix it.

cm:force_make_trade_agreement doesn't seem to work if you have not met the target faction yet.
