Did a quick update. Had to remove the VFE and SOS2 stuff because I don't have the time to figure out everything different with them atm, but everything else should be good.

Hello, the VFE Vikings are not continued for 1.5, theres a new mod Vanilla Quests Expanded - Cryptoforge which has the crypto armor(heavy included).

alright i found out what happened, if you use character editor and change the recipe of any of the armors this mod has a refit for, the recipe will overwrite the refit one, this also applies if you use the reset to default button for items, this also seems to be affecting the eltex bodysuit mod, but in a different way, where if you edit the item's recipe in any way shape or form, it will change the recipe to just 60 fabric. changing the item's defs doesn't mess the recipe up in the same way, just a warning for anyone using character editor lol

Yeah, it's specifically the refit recipes that do that... i'm going to do some testing and see if i can pinpoint what mod seems to be conflicting

Ok I double checked it with a minimal mod list (with and without vanilla psycasts) and all the recipes look right. Are you sure you're looking at the 'upgrade X to X' recipes?

Otherwise it seems to be a mod conflict.

i don't know what's happening, but this mod doesn't seem to be working for me, the refit recipes all just have the ingredients of the regular recipes.

I made SpaceSuitUpgrade.xml compatible with SOS2's experimental branch.

I'm not sure what effects this would have on older versions, but I do know that in the experimental branch, something about SHPAR_Apparel_RoyalSpaceSuitHelmetHeavy causes a null reference error when viewing it in item lists, like in the storage zone filter window.

I have Choose Your Recipe which allows me to remove recipes from workbenches, but Locust armor is allowed. No idea which other mod would be cause a conflict and going through 470+ mods for a single armor I would end up replacing pretty soon seems kind like a waste of time. If it works on your end, I'll just pretend it doesn't exist.

For some reason Locust Armor just isn't showing up in the fab bench. (Yes, I have the research for it) Grenadier and Privateer show up just fine.

Lol yea, power armor doesn't normally require devilstrand. That recipe probably isn't modified because it's something added by this mod. Unless you have this mod or another one that adds it, prestige privateer armor doesn't exist, so the mod that adds the devistrand probably doesn't include it in it's patch.

I just realized that the devilstrand cost isn't in base game so I'm wondering which mod added that and why only the prestige privateer armor doesn't have it.

The devilstrand cost is in other recipes to make prestige armors directly and the normal power armors so I just assumed privateer would've.

Normal privateer armor has devilstrand in the recipe. Also I'm not talking about the recipe to upgrade privateer to prestige privateer, I'm talking about making the prestige privateer.

Ok 1.4 is listed as supported. I don't get any errors on load with the mod by itself, but some of the other supported mods aren't updated yet from what I see.

Let me know if you run into any bugs and I'll fix em as quick as I can. :)

SpaceSuitUpgrade.xml throws errors becuse its PatchOperationFindMod points to VFE Pirates instead of Save Our Ship 2.

I mean there's not really *that* much difference. The main draw would be just to reduce recipe bloat. Like, as is, the cost in both work and materials to make a prestige armor fresh or upgrade one with this mod is exactly the same.

I am ok with that, since I would only do it when I have spare armors, in this way also prevents players just spam prestige version with extra resources

I had originally considered doing it that way, but I decided not to for some reason. I think because it creates some possible bad feels with quality rolls? Like, you want to craft some prestige armor, so you make some marine armor or whatever, and roll a masterwork on that armor, then it comes out merely 'good' when you convert it to prestige. Or something like that.

It could happen. :P

Really I just need to figure out how to do a mod menu >:|

I hope there's a version that replace vanilla recipe with this method, and keep the additional cost it adds to prestige version (like you can only upgrade your armor now, with same cost)

I tried creating recipes for the stuffable armors, but they just all come out gold. xD

Oh yea, it's basically just a new craft entirely. The old armor is consumed as an ingredient and the new armor has it's own quality based on the crafter's skill and everything as normal.

You can think of it like recycling the old armor at 100% efficiency towards making a new set of armor.

yea i´ve never seen it either, but if your crafter is good maybe it becomes another masterwork?^^
