If not, is there an alternative 'Lead Sight' mod that still works?
Been busy attending online courses for other programming languages and entrepreneurship.
But, I'll be looking into all my mods to see if any crucial updates are required of them.
This new update will hopefully fix the CTD/Buzzing sound issues thanks to the original mod author "SigmatroN" for providing the fix!
Thanks! This version is here just to provide support for further versions of the game. I'll add in the fix you just posted. But, I feel like it'd be best if you updated your own (main mod).
It is your original work after all!
BTW, it seems that you can avoid crashes and annoying buzzing sound by adding these two lines after the line 245 (newEffect.auraWidth = 0):
newEffect.soundMaxRadius = 0
newEffect.soundVolume = 0
Seems when I have something other than an active enemy targeted such as a structure or a wreck and I get too close, crash.
The buzzing sound from the glowing reticule gets louder as I approach, then bonk, game freezes.
and not TurretAI(t.id).independentTargetingEnabled --Autofire enabled
and Turret(t.id).selected --turret is active
You could also check what group the turret belongs to using "Turret(t.id).group", if you wanted to only have specific group(s) used in the calculation
You can if you go to the leadSight.lua under data/scripts/player.
It'll be between lines 95 - 108.
Other than that, the mod provides no sounds, as it only uses in-game sounds as script.
