@nAIbil! It changes the name of the warband as well as the faction flags. That means it completely replaces the original warband faction. Does that answer your question?

quick question about the mod. does it alter the initial khargan chaos faction outside the bastion to wall to be a slaanesh faction or when the bastion is attacked (meter fills up) will it be a slaanesh warband versus khargan (chaos) warband. Thanks for the response

@Eyshma Thanks for responding. I updated it anyways, there were some other changes that needed to be made anyways so I updated it and tested it. Everything should be in working order now.

Hey @Gidd, I think you need to have the launcher at least, so I'm not sure. As for the issues that I raised earlier, CA pushed another update that reverted the crashes they caused. It may be able to run without an update right now. I'm also unable to test right now, but I thought I'd mention it.

The fix is very simple. Rename the database names' uppercase letters. That should be all it needs to be fixed.

I don't have much time to work on mods anymore so I decided to wait and make sure there are no more small patches before I update them. Unless there are some unforeseen complications all my mods should be up to date in about a week.

Ok, so, there is no replacer faction. I simply changed some of the aspects of the kurgan warband faction to be slaaneshi. Their lords/heros and recruiting pool were all defined in the script. Other than that i simply changed their banner and subculture so the behavior should not be changed from the original.
Thank you for the advice though, I might be able to use it in the future. I'm thinking of making a custom faction version so the original kurgans can stay but are weaker and there will just be slaaneshi armies added on top. Maybe even some unique invasion mechanic for slaanesh. This is a long term project tho. Not sure I will have time to actually do it.

So I noticed when messing around with the assembly kit that there is a unique CAI faction personality that only the Kurgans have called something like "gate destroyer". Applying this personality to your replacer faction might fix the ambush issue.

This is great with Cathay focus on range and Sla focus on melee the match ups are very fun. Plus I'm sick of mammoths.

The slaaneshi warband seems to not be spawning in any more. I eventually got a notification that I encountered them but they never appeared in diplomacy and never spawned any armies. The turn after the great bastion threat bar reaches full I get a notification that the kurgans have been defeated and it resets to zero. Tried it both in my full modlist and with all mods but this one disabled and the issue remains.

No, the warband faction is its own faction it's not related to any other Slaaneshi faction other than that it uses the same colors/flag as the rebels. Fighting them should only incur diplomatic penalty with their one ally, the kurgan faction just outside the wall.

i have a question if your allied with N'kari while using lazys corrupted progression mod will fighting the slannesh armies cause you to lose your alliance or peace treaty with N'kari

I just tested it and it works for me. There is still the bug where they won't attack after the first wave. After talking to a few people it seems that is a bug with the game and not my mod. I will still try to fix it if I can but I'm not sure I have the knowledge or tools to fix it.

Oh yea sorry I misread your comment. The bastion script probably only runs when you are playing as Grand Cathay. It would be hard to make it work while playing as other factions.

It might be the bug, they are probably in ambush stance somewhere in the area outside the wall.

Are you using some other mod that changes the bastion?
You may be having the bug where the armies are in ambush stance. Take a walk outside around the bastion with an army and you may find them.

Ok, so I understand what is happening now. For some reason the armies stop attacking the bastion and just stand in the same spot in ambush stance. I will try to fix it. In the mean time you can go outside the bastion and look for them.

The first round it successfully generated slaanesh warband, but at turn 42 the second round of invasion nothing appear and the threat value return to zero automatically at the next turn.
