i've stalled out to 0 speed without the mod

If you're holding W, the plane will likely not stall. I know many players typically fly holding W and S most of the time, but bots are unable to use these speed modifiers, so I've balanced it around not pressing either button (otherwise the bots were frequently crashing into the ground).
The fact that you were able to stall means the mod is active.

I checked on both the beta and stable branch, and I can confirm it still functions. Are you sure you've enabled the mod? An easy way to check if it's functioning is to fly straight upwards without touching the keyboard, and checking if the plane stalls out.

I can confirm it still works. You may be using a modded vehicle that is so strong that you do not notice the difference. Alternatively, you may have another mod running that overrides this one.

the mod doesn't seem to be working, with it activated it does not affect flying at all. even with it set to intense

The mod has been updated with a configuration option for the missile flight length, the "Missile Friction Modifier". This should allow for better compatibility with modded aircraft.

The range of the missile depends on the speed of the missile. If you play with modded vehicles with high missile speeds, then you need to be father away before you notice dramatic effects. The missile will slow down regardless, which makes it track worse and gives you more time to use countermeasures.

dont know if this is possible, but is there a way make missiles not chase you forever? maybe make them lose lock after a certain point if theyre a certain distance away, or just make them stop accelerating. really ruins BVR engagements most of the time.

It still works fine on the newest beta, and I'm unable to reproduce the issue. I would check to make sure it's enabled and you don't have any other mods enabled that could affect it.

ok wait i messed around with the mutator but even with vanilla planes with everything activated and intense settings, there was no difference at all. Missiles still traveled forever and were impossible to dodge, no torque, and no stalling, even when going straight up and holding S. Is anyone else having the same problem or is it just me?

you can disable MANPADS and only let them have AAA or SAMs, and you just have to get good at dodging fire and noses

imho RF planes are fine but infantry has wayyyy too many MANPADS and bots are too accurate in their movement they just perfectly track you while shooting your plane for 10 secods lol

@1020070624 My thoughts on this statement. I personally believe Javalins are way too OP in this game. That's why I disable them when I am playing ravenfield unless I am playing with a config. Also, limiting ammo of air vehicles kind of renders them useless. Yes, I know they can be quite annoying, but it's better than not having air support, and sometimes, it makes it a bit challenging and fun when being put up against a gunship.

im not sure if its possible. but could you make a mutator that changes how flares work. instead of a cooldown you get a certain ammount. idk 20 and you can deploy them at any time but you run out
