i love kirby

This character is fantastic with a couple issues that hold it back from being truly great. The main issue I see are with Kirby are his copy abilities. They are insanely weak with little-to-no kill power whatsoever. Having Kirby's main gimmick be so underpowered like this seems weird. Additionally, many of Kirby's multihits are prone to players falling out of them, or being able to tech out of them on the floor like the sword ability.
Those are my two main issues with Kirby I can think of right now. Outside of that, the gamefeel, art, and programming of the character are great.

not really, no. last I recall our options for uspecial were probably hi-jump or rising break(which he has as the fighter ability attack anyway)

Nice updates! Have you ever considered giving kirby his original smash up b though? Feels kinda awkward when recovering and I generally don't see it having much use when he already has two dashing type attacks, the wheel and his dash attack. His smash up b would give him more combo potential too and maybe balance his recovery a bit better

this kirby is amazing! the best kirby of the workshop! i was wondering if you guys "or girls" wanted to make a black imposter i know the workshop already has a black imposter but i bet you guys "or girls" can make a better version! of course you dont have to but i would love to see that! again your kirby is amazing!

imo this is my favorite kirby so far in the rivals workshop lmfao

actually has a set of abilities and some really good copying mechanics, and the fact it also shuffles the copy if the copying isn't yet compatible already makes it really interesting

not to mention a good amount of its moves are actually good

Adding the Copy Ability hats would require animation work no one in the team would be willing to do. In Smash Bros. it's easy enough to just 3D model the hat and toggle it on when you get a Copy Ability. In Rivals, where every animation frame has to be drawn individually, not so much.

as far as i'm concerned, workshop just mysteriously decides which alts work and which don't at random and all you can do is pray that eventually it fixes itself. not even joking

I cant play as color 8, 10, or above. only 1-7 & 9 show up. how can i fix this or is it just a mod issue?

hey think you you can make a marx playable boss take inspiration from well. the only controllable boss in the rivals workshop aka master hand and add the infinite flight stuff

can someone tell me what the heck abyss is supposed to do because I really can't see the potential if you have to fly up to someone and release the special button considering they could easily hit you out of the animation

Can Kirby copy Cuphead's abilities?

it's not fast, but it's no falcon punch, either, and the range is good. the damage is high for a game like rivals; maybe it might fit in smash, but for a rivals attack i think it'd be better if the damage was 9-11-12 and the hitbox size was reduced slightly

It's a limited use item that's frame 21, it does 10, 12, then 14. Not really ridiculous for a move that takes almost half a second to come out, and is limited in range, kill power and speed in my opinion lol. Plus you gotta remember you're not always gonna have the thing in every match, its conditional.

also mic's damage is ridiculous for an attack that's easier to hit than it looks
i used it, saw the damage, and decided to cease using it out of respect for my opponent

i love kirby but i think fstrong is too fast and inhale should not still grab on trade
i can just jump towards my opponent and inhale, even if they hit me i'll grab them
that shouldn't be a thing i can do

Just a suggestion, but I'd kill(.) for an Void/Void Soul/Astral Birth Void skin for this little pink puff ball. I feel like an Astral Birth Void skin would fit well because alot of workshop characters have rainbow skins and you know-

Oh I'm sorry! I didn't know it was a bug, I just thought it was a new victory screen! And I apologize if my previous comment came off as rude or undesired. It just didn't feel right.

I apologize for the Victory Bug issue, when updating Kirby we have a "Build" for Kirby that we use for testing. As a result of me updating without double checking we used an earlier version of the Victory Content for Kirby. I have since fixed it once more back to how it was. Apologies everyone and thank you @KenoKeno!

I don't know if you can change this now or even want to, but there's a copy ability that I feel would match better for Ranno. That copy ability being Poison, it was introduced in Planet Robobot.
No pressure of course just thought this would be a somewhat better fit for Ranno than Water.

What happened to the old victory screen? The new one is.. gross. The music is not it.

just wanted to say a big thank you for giving Fezhead copy ability compatibility! I know it was as simple as setting a variable, but it still means a lot to have it taken notice of!

Imagine a Kirby Copy Ability where if you inhale another Kirby you get bigger. Everything about you is just BIGGER.
or the round auto ends in a Draw because Kirby ate Kirby :)
