Is there a setting in this that can be changed so it actually calculates the weight of conveyors etc?That way I don't just slowly fall at .41m/s.

Why does the script untag everything from time to time, it's a pain to fix everything when just trying adjust the blueprint a bit.

I am noticing a weird behavior and it is so consistent that I am not sure if it was wrong before and is right now.

When I am in atmosphere turning off the dampeners makes the ship act like it is in space. Like Cruise in all directions. If I gave a little up thrust with the dampeners off I will slowly climb to space at 8m/s.

Previously I felt like turning off the dampeners just made me fall like a stone in atmo. Like turning off damps in a normal ship. Currently I have no way to fall like a stone or let my H2s rest without turning my tanks to stockpile. Am I doing something wrong?

I need to add I am just concerned as this is my #1 essential thing in space engineers.

from what i noticed my assumption is that the script works by setting rotor limit and rotating it up to the hilt
since functionality was added to rotate rotor to set angle any chance of updating the script to utilize this?

Control Module doesn't seens to be working anymore sinse the last hotfix update. I also tried the old Vector Thrust 2 script and Control Module isn't working on it as well. What's going on ? Is it just me or is someone else having this problem ?

My thrusters aren't reversing when I press S or even trying to dampen, I don't know what's wrong, when I first used it, it was fine, everything worked, but then after I put two thrusters on each rotor of my ship that's when it started to get buggy and weird, even when I returned it to the single thruster per rotor the problem continued, tried changing rotors but that didn't work, tried re-installing the script into the programmable block but that still didn't work, I'm just super confused on why the rotors aren't responding correctly to pressing s or dampening.

For some reason, this script doesn't allow me to change my elevation. And I know that it's possible is because Whip's Subgrid Thruster Manager can do that, but it cannot use the rotors and hinges to align the thrusters in the desired direction.

I'm trying to have a spaceship with only a single thruster connected to the seat through a rotor, a hinge, and another rotor or another hinge. I mean seat-hinge-rotor-hinge-thruster or seat-rotor-hinge-rotor-thruster. This should be able to work as an omni-thruster, capable of rotating in order to get the desired thrust, and we should be able to add something like [aesthetic] or [disabled] or [sensitive] or [skip] or [locked] to a hinge or rotor, in order to have the script not try to control those, in order to avoid blowing things up or misaligning important things.

I cannot use Ctrl and Space to have the hinges and rotors move to adjust the thrust.

I am using a seat + gyro, a rotor, then on it a hinge, then on it another rotor, then on it a single thruster, and I want thrust control in all directions and rotations.

Love this script. Been using it for years. In a recent build, i noticed it has trouble when you limit rotors to only fiction for a fraction of rotation. It seems like the script is expecting 100% rotational freedom. For example, pkacing a thruster on the side of a ship that can rotate for up and left only can be problematic. Hinges and very noisy but seem to have the same issue. Is there any way to have the AI you programed to sense thruster handling in space to also learn the limits of rotos and hinges? Perhaps add the ability to input into the custom data of said rotors what the designer whats them used for?

i love this script. its also funny when u add and remove an engine then getting bonked in the head or crushed by the arm that was holding multiple thrusters it when the script updates

My ship just goes wonky wobblydido every time, I have so many mods that I dont know what causes it, because they work fine elsewhere, but here they try to rotate downwards and wobble, it may be Orbital Engineers, any comment on it?

That's just a side effect of the they way the game works, probably not something the author can fix without bogging down your game

hey i am pretty bad with scripts but my little heli uses this and it slowly tilts backward and goes up
when i am not in seat or when i am in it and not giving any movement commands
is there some sort of trimm system ? i need to calibrate ? or can edit ?

MrHindsight, modded thrusters should work with no issues, other then potentially being too powerful and ripping themselves off the rotors/hinges/pistons

I believe most of the programming done in SE is standalone, so it rarely overwrites vanilla code unless it's needed in order to incorporate new system into the game which isn't naturally supported like Weaponcore,


When you want to ensure the best compatibility/stability as possible, load order is basically as follows,

1. Core Mechanics (weaponcore, hudapi)
2. Voxel Content (Better Stone, Seams Fixed)
3. Mechanic Overhaul/Modpacks (QoL, GFA)
4. Planets/Asteroids (Stanton System, Real Mars)
5. Blocks (Sage Thrusters, Titan Thruster)
6. Skins (Skybox, armor blocks if values are vanilla)

So i have tested some more and have come to the conclusion that custom thrusters (IE stronger thrusters) will cause severe spazzing out of the vehicle in question. Being limited to vanilla thrusters no vehicle of any serious weight can expect to work without a gross number of thrusters being mounted to your craft. how can this issue be resolved?

Hello, I thought i would post my issues with this script here. So for what its worth here it goes.
I have read the texts and i have watched the tutorial videos. For whatever reason beyond my understanding when i try to build anything including just a basic cross shaped frame and i place the thrusters on the rotors as close to the centre of gravity as i can. and i load up the script to run on the PB and everything checks out so far. But as soon as i unlock my landing gear and try to take off, my thrusters start spinning like a demon possessed. my frame starts swinging wildly in whatever direction it seems to choose. i cant find any fix for this no matter where i look. and from what i have read in the comments so far. this seems to be an issue for a few people. is there anything i missed? any fix for this? or at least an explanation as to why anything i build decides to spaz out like its having a seizure?

Make sure the thrusters are near the center of gravity and increase the braking + torque on the rotor/hinges.

After you run applytags go into your cockpit and type VT:0 or w/e you set the group into the custom data. The 0 is which display you want it on.

Can I restrict the rotors to a certain range (without breaking functionality)? ie to prevent one in front from damaging the next when placed in a line.

Unlocking from a connector powers down everything in the ship, regardless of custom data settings or tags. How do I stop this, please fucking god, help.

How do I make it rotate the rotors faster? It's rotating them too slowly, so it takes a long time to accelerate and decelerate. I figured out how to change how much of the thruster power, but not how to make it rotate faster.

I tried the following configurations, and I cannot seem to get it to work properly, for all-direction traveling:
1 rotor + 1 hinge + 1 hinge.
1 rotor + 1 hinge + 1 rotor.
1 hinge + 1 rotor + 1 rotor sideways.
The only way it works, is if I use two rotors without one being a subgrid of the other. So I need to choose 2 of the 3 following axis of rotation, and have a rotor for each: Yaw, Pitch, Roll.

I noticed this feature. If you just hang in place. Then the PB periodically turns off the thrusters on the rotors for 0.5 s, which is why the ship gradually decreases in the atmosphere.
Is it just me?
