I'm not sure what part of UWE adds them or where in the code it does (I'm not experienced at all on the tech side of things), but UWE adds new colored versions of the normal (Small Backpack, Medium Backpack, and Large Backpack), and I -think- colored versions of the Thieves bags, but I'm not 100% on that one, would have to double check. They exist as new, separate items with identical stats.

I only included all UWE and Backpack Crafting Enhanced's backpacks.

So any mod that add new backpacks aren't supported.

About colored backpacks, that's a big MAYBE. If the colored packs are added as replacement or edits of the vanilla ones, they can be crafterd, if a mod adds then as new items, then nope.

What backpacks mods are you using? I may consider add them to this patch

Just as a matter of curiosity, are colored backpacks included in this, ir are we still going to have to buy those?

@KySoto I didn't make the orange merchant backpack available for crafting. They weigh a ton and are supposed to be used by NPC. Not players. There are a lot of better options

This is really cool, only problem I've ran into is that I cant craft merchant backpacks for some reason even though I bought the required schematic.
