So I got a town event that states the Charlatan offers a concoction for 10K gold, what is it and should I buy it?

this character is 10/10

Personally I'd change it this way:
1. Single target stress heal has 75% of removing the horror, 25% to give horror.
2. AoE stress heal having 75% on each target to stress heal, 25% to give stress.
3. See no Evil having 75% to give +dmg against stealth (but 20% max) and 25% that the stealthed enemy gets the damage buff. Teammates still can attack stealth this way though.

This 'possibility of failure' would flavorwise help, would really make it a charlatan. I still believe it would be a strong character. Some errors here and there and overall a lot of stress healing done.

I really like the idea and the char itself but it is a bit too strong atm.
He has 2 stress heals, one is like the houndmaster's one but with higher numbers and a guaranteed success. The other one is a jester-like with added horror removal.
He can also pull backline and most importantly he can stealth an enemy and give your guys the ability to hit stealth (with a bunch of added damage). That ability alone breaks the class. You debuff a boss with this and it doesn't feel like a boss anymore.
The other, smaller problem I have is flavor. A charlatan is a conman but this guy is the most competent char at what it does.

I hope someday the he comes to DD2, I love this character so much!

At level 0 the Charlatan can heal 16-20 stress per round from the team, which is just nuts. He can also hit the enemy Rank 4 with high crit. Compared to a Lamia, Jester or Librarian he is too good.

I know he's supposed to be a magician, but I just can't stop seeing Abraham Lincoln. 11/10.

Golden Nail -> -3 Speed (70 Rounds)
Rat Oil -> Blight 1 pts/rd for 5 rds
Agility Herb Mix -> +10 DODGE (1 Battles)
Unreal Antique -> On Use +20 Stress Or Sell for 2000g
Dihydrogen Monooxide -> +15% Healing Received (1 Battles)
Spoiled Milk -> +The Runs/Disease
Potion of Heroism -> +15% DMG & +3% CRT (4 Battles)
Lucky Nickel -> 1 or 2
1 -> -5% ALL Resist (Battle) & Trap Disarm Chance (Battle)
2 -> ??? (I'm guessing its just +5 ALL Resist)


I haven't tried everything but i'm sure you can figure the rest out

I love this mod, there really is something special in mods like this or the Mamba class that feel so extraordinary in the most real way imaginable. This could be a real person, I empathise with his madness, and that's without mentionning the creative gameplay he brings!

Just a little extra if you would have the kindess, could you provide us some form of documentation on the snake oil he pulls out when he "Pulls a Rabbit"? I enjoy this ability very much but I could really appreciate knowing what's coming out of that hat ,:)

Love the class! The fact that this class can give other classes stealth "immunity", while providing a lot of help in stress healing and damage buffs makes it a very unique and fun class to have.
But just a question, I participated in the Charlatan special event, but the item I bought seems to not appear anywhere, is this intended?

strange issue: Charlatan's sunward trinket gives a Resolve XP buff on kill, but the buff doesn't last for the entire quest / x amount of battles and instead lasts for a few rounds, meaning you can basically only get a +5% boost at any one time. Would appreciate this being changed / fixed.

UPDATE: Never mind! I've just tested that Ordinary Miracle actually deals extra stress heal to stealthed HEROES, not against stealthed enemies! The wording was confusing as it said "+100% stress healing vs Stealthed" and "vs" usually implies enemies. I guess it's technically correct as this skill targets heroes, so its effect is applied "against" them, even if beneficial.

In any case, it's working properly! Other than Charlatan's own Stealth skill, it might combo well with Heroes who can go into stealth like the Grave Robber.

BUG: The Ordinary Miracle skill does not give extra stress heal when against Stealthed enemies. Tested in multiple battles, areas, against multiple enemies and even when all enemies were stealthed. Are you still active in managing the mod? Could you look at this issue, please?

@diziothevoice The Charlatan is very position dependent to be fully effective. It's fine in my opinion if the only use for it is to pull him back in my experience. Plus he already has so much stress healing as it is.

Great class mos, great idea, great graphic and great mechanic.
...I just wonder if you can buff the crit of "Chtonic Phenomenon" because I can't find any reason to use this ability. A little rework to make it a potential crit/stressHeal would be very appriciated ...making this class a 10/10 :D

Flavorful, charming and god-like in The Farmstead. Absolutely reccommended.

I'm actually in love with it! I was a bit sceptical when I downloaded it, had a strange feeling he wouldn't be useful at all, but he does a strange yet effective job in my teams! I must add that I love his design, all of his moves, his way to speak, and especially the manners he has when he takes a hit. Well job!

@Donkster If I had to guess, Taylor's assistant was killed by the Void-Born octopus and he thinks the octopus is his former late assistant and told him to go to the estate.

I was a bit sceptical towards this class since I had many other (and quite frankly better) supports in my last run but he was able to hold his weight, especially against bosses and small stealthy bastards he was able to oneshot. He is able to heal stress well and his increased virtue chance is certainly helpful. Just dont expect too much of him, he is a stealth centered support with stressheal, nothing more, nothing less.

Does he still say "Wallah" instead of "Voila" or has it been fixed?

Not a bad character, the only real issue i have is that his self-stress-healing ability has +50% virtue, it should give stress instead in this case, or change side effect to something else, its anti-synergetic

A great addition to the hero roster. His look, his style, and his mechanics are excellent. The "Now you see it, now you don't" flair of stealthing enemies and buffing your group to ignore stealth is a really cool gamble with some enemies. He performed really well in a Farmstead run my wife and i did tonight, too. Good work!

Love using him as a main de-stress teamate. Seems like a more stress focused version of the hound without some of the hounds strengths like healing, marking or gaurding.

The only thing I can think of not liking about him is his sprite with the hat on. Looks more like a bum than a magician in that pose, otherwise I like all his other sprites. Great mod!

Awesome mod! Been having a ton of fun with this class.

But, if I can nitpick some, the term a magician uses when he reveals his trick is not "Wallah!", it's "Voilà!". I love that line, but I figured you'd want the correct spelling. Love the mod! Keep it up.

My game crashes when i try to load file with this mod on. It's more likely that one of my other mods messes up with this one.

But anyways, this guy looks fantastic and his skils are very interesting. love yall <3
