@sneax yes use something like Extended Marriage Doctrines. There is game settings to allow both and to be more granular with the numbers. These do not work together though as it sees only one of your types as valid most of the time. I got a strange interaction where half the norse people could not have concubines.

Vassals will change their gender laws according to their culture/religion, they do not care about your realm laws. I need to implement an option to define a default gender law so you don't have to change them one by one.

Is there any way to make it so harem laws don't change when you change gender laws? For example, if I have "harem for everyone" with "equal" gender law but change to "female only" gender law, it automatically changes it to "harem for females". Not sure which txt file I need to edit to prevent this script from triggering.

GLE only changes succession laws, something harem doctrines does not do. Should work.

figured it out, button was gone because i wasnt an independent ruler, still annoying tho you should be able to enforce laws on your direct vassals even if you're a vassal yourself

The enforce laws button for your vassals seem to be gone now in the new update

Isn't there some way to set the law for harems for vassals without having to enforce it on each and every vassal? which is expensive as hell plus they hate you for it.

There is a problem when using this mod together with "Extended Marriage Doctrines". No matter what the religion is, the polygamy or concubine is disabled. Last time when I play in 1.9.*, there was no problem at all.(Sorry for poor English)

i think it should be the other way around if you want to allow a vassel you should be able enable it.
it will be more efficient that way, but ill leave it up to you of course. :)

Well I think most of the time
AI liege should have the same options as you

But AI kingdoms should follow the game default and not give them options to change in this case or the game will crash after 50 or so years of playing for pop cap at worst or bad game lag at best... depends on your pc hardware.

So to sum it all up i dont think in this case it should be a good idea to make it possible for AI rulers.

But i belive you can make it possible for the player's AI liege without the results above
so you can still feal the mod working that way.

vassals of your vassals will adopt the gender/harem laws of their liege. So if you set one vassal to monogamy, all of his vassals will change to that as well.

By AI Top rulers I mean any independent ruler not controlled by the player. That means every independent ruler outside of your realm as well you AI liege if you are not independent.

yeah but of you have alot of vassals and repulican vassals it will take forever - also vassals of your vassals and repulican vassals cannot be enforced that way..

if you add an option for only top ruller / independent rulers it can be done

Should still work, even though Paradox reverted all changes made in 1.9.0.3 where they introduced the inverted gender laws game rule. Need to investigate...

Trying this again to see if it still works. I cannot live without this mod!

You only have to change your direct vassals, they will push the law to their vassals.

i think should implement the "overrule your vassals by using hooks, otherwise it will count as tyranny." because this is basically a contract change just done differently, there is a contract that force their inheritance to be partition, so it's kind of the same.

I'm not sure what happened. I was playing EK for about a week. Then suddenly I started getting hard CTDs yesterday. After sniffing around, I narrowed it down to two mods. This mod, and another.

Some how it doesn't work when I tried to have my vassal be monogamous even though my law forces them to become monogamous. My religion does allow equal multiple spouses.

Can you make the abilities to change vassal law also available for indirect vassal?

Oh, this is sweet. As a Cumbrian I have always wanted my female rulers to have a harem....yay!
