the in game create item tool does not work. hit up the TGP discord's modding channel and folks can explain the process there.

ok so i have a geunine question

how do i make my own posters? it's probably a dumb one but i've been trying to make die hard posters for the game and whenever i create them via the create item thing they only show up a the green cube.

You'll need to drop the poster items on the ground in editor mode, then go to player mode, pick them up, and place them on the nails so they're on the wall. It's a little clunky but it should work fine.

necroposting but how do I use the item codes for custom house stuff
is there like a console I have to open, or do I have to do the poster-nailing myself in the House Editor

You need to place the 'nail' object on a wall, it's one of the 3d furniture items, and then you can slot poster items into that, which puts the poster on the wall.
