I'm unable to put commando clothing or other inside of them.
The shield seems alright I have not been in a major battle with it though, you get no inventory and it eats battery power to function. The shield however does seem really strong.
The deep diving suit is all over the place, insane damage resist but you can't wear headgear outfits or another backpack, power cell allows you the mobility of a hands free jet scooter and it lets you breath in an environment like a PUC suit.
Minigun does absurd damage, requires being placed in minigun backpacks to charge and the pack loses condition to reload the gun, but is bugged to keep draining condition. This pack also grants insane armor buffs when worn even when its used up. Invalidates pretty much the entire arsenal but is expensive.
The ammo and med packs are a hat on a hat situation, you now have more inventory space and you can put your medical items and ammo into smaller backpacks that go in your backpack
Light pack has a good lamp for exploring but infinite recharge on power cells is extremely strong. Maybe require a fuel slot to function?
The Oxygen pack is a rebreather and means infinite oxygen, straight up cheat item for clown who never run out of air wearing it. Others get infinite air but it still drains their suit oxygen so they have to cycle bottles to get rid of annoying noise, but won't drown.
The Techno backpack sonar is great but its also thermals and a status monitor all without using power and without using the unlockable thermals or with mods headset component. even with the minor slow down it feels really cheaty.
does it have to be empty batteries and tanks? or full ones?
This game can be enjoyed with less players, without the need for micromanaging every crew member individually. And this mod really shows it.
