Alright I've gone ahead and added a quick ruleset. I didn't think this was all that complicated but that's probably because I designed the thing myself and it may not be so obvious to other people lol.

Whoops, haven't been on Steam in forever. Sorry for the late response.

The way it works for the bishops is upon reaching the star, they have the option to fork out in either direction as long as it is their own original color.

You could have a rule where they can only go to one side, but still remaining in their own color, or however else ya feel like. There are some "official" rules for it somewhere, but in the interest of fun I say do whatever ups the ante for ya.

The knights are a little tricky to visualize unless you actually play the game, then it's easier to see how the piece would move from and around that center star.

As for checks and check mates. The way me and my friends have done it is, whoever gets checkmated first, gets taken out and then the other two players duke it out. But again, it's up to how you wanna do it.

Like, if a bishop goes through the very middle point, does it keep its direction and go from a white quadrilateral to a black one or does it stay colorbound and deflect?
I would also imagine that the first player to checkmate either opponent wins the game. There might even be a rule against placing or leaving one opponent's king under the other opponent's check, if the latter's turn comes next. Makes for an interesting dynamic.
