For some reason this thing doesn't appear in the boss checklist

Can you please make it so you need to right click the sword to spawn it? There's a lot of times where the sword spawns mid boss fight and you run into it by accident, which obviously causes issues during bossfights

the new tmodloader update seems to have broken this mod

i figured out how to re add the descriptions. this will be comically tedious for future endeavors
anyways can you elaborate on the boss literally freezing? what mods did you use and whatcha do

maybe you can make it start spawning when you reach an HP requirement? I'm fine with the high spawn rate if you make it not obliterate you when you have no mobility

theres a bug where the slime just froze and didnt attack or move while i was fighting it

it only has around 2800 health in expert mode any viable post-skeletron weapon would kill it in under a minute
plus the lost swords are completely immobile so all you need is like, either a double jump or a few platforms to get over it
btw it only spawns on the surface during the day
if it was in like, a full-fledged mod pack or something i would consider making it more rare but, i must restate, gunsword slime is the ONLY enemy in this mod

the spawn rate decreases after the first time gunsword slime is defeated
i don't really see the point in making it even rarer considering it's the only thing this mod adds

i mean. it's technically compatible (like almost every other mod with each other) but there's no special content with fargo's souls if that's what you're asking

i've been a bit busy and didn't get round to checking before, but it does seem like the lost sword does spawn in multiplayer, and activates the boss fight, and the boss can be fought in multiplayer, so thank you!

just to add on, it seems now instead of the lost sword spawning and not doing anything, it just seems to not spawn at all when the gunsword replica is used

thanks for taking the time to respond and to fix the bug even if the mod is feature complete, though unfortunately it didn't seem to work for me as the boss still didn't seem to want to spawn.

also as an aside i had a look at your other mod and it seems really cool, bit of a shame there's no multiplayer support as thats mostly what i play tmod with, but next time i do a single player playthrough i'll add that mod for sure

shorter mention that you should check out "shooting stars with magellanic" (also by me)
it has like, 0 multiplayer support but i think it is pretty cool

short mention that even though it should be working properly in multiplayer soon, it's sort of buggy and teleports around the place and i'm too busy (and lazy) with bigger projects to go through the code just to fix that

I really like this mod, its a cool small mod that just adds in a fun extra boss fight to do, just one issue though, can you fix the boss summoning on multiplayer? The fight itself works when summoned via cheat sheet, but the boss didn't spawn when using the gunsword replica, the lost sword just sat there for a bit then despawned

you should start working on this mod again and maybe add a new drop or two, weird mod but still cool lol

if i was still working on the mod i probably would do that. i'm working on an another mod right now, and even though it probably wouldn't take too long to do it... i'm lazy lol

i suggest you make it when you shoot down while falling it removes fall dmg

the mod is basically feature complete already, and it still works in the current tmod version; sorry!

oof, well its cool that you are looking into it, bc i wanted to show how badass the mod was to a friend, lol. he was at least impressed by the weapon! (speaking of which, a weapon with mobility options in pre-hardmode? genius idea, honestly would love to see things like this come to melee class)

all multiplayer-based, unfortunately
since gunsword slime is less complicated than the other mod's boss, i could probably try to look into it; just give me a few

the games got a multi-player bug where it doesnt spawn in with its gun, which makes the boss much easier. also, for some reason the camera loses its shit when the boss spawns, and also sometimes the boss can get stuck in the ground. unsure how either of any of this happens, but i think it could be multi-player based.

yeah it's super buggy (but still TECHNICALLY playable) in multiplayer because i didn't test it in multiplayer and it would be way too tedious to add proper multiplayer support

i actually am working on a bigger mod inspired by split mod (ala quality > quantity); i don't want to overscope so i'm planning on releasing it when pre-hardmode is "done" (ala 2-3 bosses, a couple of enemies using unique AI & a buncha items)

this boss is suprisingly cool wow

yeah, that's intentional; it used to just set your speed for the recoil effect but i changed it during development because it's cooler

the gunsword's mid-air recoil effect has no cap on it's speed increase so if you spam it can actually be used throughout the entire game to quickly get to places
