I love this mod with SFO, the idea is simple but genious. Some units could use an update - their cost is 0, but most of them works perfectly.

It's all done in RPFM, but it's not terribly difficult to add new rules. This mod only seeks to add rules for named characters, though.

I wish there was a version for common lords.
@Dux How do you add new rules, all by hand in RPFM or do you have an automated setup like a python script? Oh well I doubt it'd help much, just even documenting all common lords and their specialities would be a challenge

Alright, I disagree with the logic regarding the Reiksguard but its your mod. I was also wondering, is it possible to attach Lord's Army unit cap effects to Heros? If so I would think Theodore Bruckner seems to be suitable for one for Demigrpyh Knights but based on your response to @dog I'm guessing its not possible.

There is no real way to introduce limits on hero mounts, unfortunately. This idea has been discussed for years with DrunkFlamingo, original maker of the main TTC mod, but the hero interfaces are very old in TW games and do not tie directly into available scripting tools. It's essentially impossible to intercept hero embedding through script, which makes it effectively impossible to limit.

I'm a bit surprised Karl Franz doesn't get a discount to Reiksguard for his Lord's Army. They're the personal Bodyguards to the Emperor, I feel like it would make sense to encourage his army to always have some.

Thank you so much for this, this has always been one of the reasons I don't use caps more often, very exited to try this.

A general question, I take it there is no way for hero's to impact unit caps? eg Skink heros using Ancient Stegadon mounts means that army caps can be bypassed

You get a reduction to Nuln Ironsides with Elspeth, but Amethyst Ironsides are still at full price for her, so you end up really not wanting to use them ever because of how many points they cost.

aliathra from Legendary High Elven Characters [LHEC] make treekin cost 1 more, instead of 1 less, also both text are red (treekin and treeman)

i think in "character_skill_level_to_effects_junctions_tables" the content of her 2 "value" column should be inverted, making it like alarielle :D

It says Ikit gets forbidden workshop units for cheaper, but the jezzails, doom flayers and ratling guns cost exactly the same as for other units. What is the tooltip referring to?

Hey i have been running this mod in combination with SFO Grimhammer also. I noticed that grimhammer changes some of the cap values of many units, making the effect of many LLs useless. Is there a way to manually change the rules of LLs manually or o compatibility submod?

Looks like Aranessa Saltspite needs specific rule for Maneaters and Maneaters (Ogre Pistol). Like 1 special point instead of 2.

I love this mod so far. The only thing I would change is Marcus Wolfhearts special rules. Hes the Huntsmarshal, shouldnt his affected unit be huntsmen instead of wagons? Or is there something in lore that points more towards the wagons? Either way great mod!

@Antagonistes I have the same issue with TTC, without being subbed to this.
It started happening since the last few DLC were added, and TTC doesn't account for any of the new units because it hasn't been updated since may 2024.
Groovy has released a Reborn version of TTC, but that has it's own issues, such as crashing when upgrading units.

Is there any way we can get the price of arachnerok spiders reduced for Raknik Spiderclaw, and/or Snagla Grobspit? Feels weird only being able to recruit one in the spider stack.

Short answer; I don't play SFO, I don't know how complicated it would be, I don't want to spend any real effort making it compatible.

Long answer; assuming SFO implemeted the core of TTC the same way as the original, including the framework to set special rules the exact same way that I do, then it's just a matter of how much missmatch we have between units and LL database keys and their base TTC cost list. If they changed the base price list, then our special rules might be whacky, even if the unit and LL database keys remains the same.

@Dux thank you for the help! I assumed that the submod was causing the error because it doesn't seem to occur whenever it's disabled. I also noticed that the AI stopped being affected by tabletop caps after the error pops, whatever it is I'll try to investigate on my side.

The script error is occurring within the TTC base script, not anything that seems related to this submod specifically. It appears like it's checking a character that has no faction somehow, which is throwing an error. It probably isn't breaking anything, but I'm sure it's annoying. I would inquire with the authors of AI mod you're using to see what they could be doing that might lead to this situation.

Hey there! Sorry for disturbing, I'm trying to figure out an incompatibility with Stronger and Fairer AI and this submod. It seems that during the end turn mid campaign, a script error occurs when going through Vampire Coast special rules.

@DK44, this is now fixed.
@diggngdwarf26, it's not compatible like that out of the box. every new unit needs to be specifically tied to a bonus. Currently I don't plan to add support for mods that are pure units and not Legendary Lords.

in terms of mod compatibility, are special rules hard coded per unit, or do they work like tech tree and skill buffs? for example, lets say a mod adds a more offensive sort of tree kin unit, and it benefits from tree kin techs and buffs and such. would it get the cost reduction from drychas treekin effect?

Good catch. The special rule for Golgfag is lowering the TTC weight value for all Maneater units, the Eshin Maneater included, which leads to his rare status being effectively disabled. This will be fixed.

I think I found a bug. With this mod, the Eshin Maneater for Golgfag's faction costs 0 special points instead of 1.

Greasus + Skrag work normally.

It seems that the mod isn't applying to Arbaal. Both variants of Chosen are still two special instead of one special like his trait indicates.
