This does still work in B42, all ya've to do is port it manually, there's a guide on steam on how to do so. Create "common" and "42" folders in the mod folder and bump all of the files into either of them. Works for almost every mod and this one is AFAIR no exception. Certainly I've been enjoying it again in B42 for some time now.

this mod caused an attached item to be deleted when I took off my backpack, i do have too many mods but i dont really know what if anything could be causing such a conflict. this happened when using a backpack from https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3079948242 with noirs attachments in MP for some context

I'm using this mod in my current playthrough and in my multiplayer game and haven't had problems with it. I think there is some confusion about when a player "switches" backpacks ... If you have a pack equipped and swap it for a new one, the attached items end up in the old backpack when they are switched. It's how the mod works, and defeating it would ... well ... defeat the purpose of the mod. Anytime you take a pack off your back, the attached items are moved into it. I've yet to lose any items in game with this mod.

All my items dissapear, so maybe this mod stoped from working or idk, i was using the vanilla alice backpack, noir atachment and brita weapons (no error or nothing the items just dissapeared) please check that i love this mod but that just happen :C

That's the error. Someone should make a patch if they can reorder the Hotbar mod, or if that is not possible, the author of reordering the Hotbar will give me a solution.

I've learned how to fix this, if you move the code into shared instead of server the items do not despawn, but moddata does not persist because you're saving invalid types, and there's some wasteful running of code constantly. I think I'm going to write my own version of this but I'll give a nod to this as the inspiration rather than fixing this since it already can't be a simple patch.

Ok, so the key thing is that you have to then log off and log back on - not sure if this occurs in singleplayer or not.

Weird, when diving into things, adding debug lines, and trying to reproduce the bug, I could not for the life of me. It was super reliable before, odd.

If you drag the items that are saved by this mod in the backpack out of the backpack while it's on the ground into, say, another backpack equipped on your back, they disappear forever. ***indispensible mod***

I'm seeing the same bug with the heavy clothes. I thought it might have something to do with the clothes being wet, but I'm not sure. I didn't notice at first but I have a few jackets lying around now that weigh several thousand pounds, and I made the mistake of putting my main backpack on the ground and now I can't pick it up because of the 78 pound scarf in there. I tried infinite carry weight with the cheat menu mod but it didn't help.

After downloading this mod, if I have clothes or crafted food let's say. Then I drop my backpack w/ saved attachments and it works. But when I right click the bag to requip it from the ground it begins to jump by like 5-15 pound intervals. The item causing the weight will/ is always Certain crafted foods (salads mainly, while stir-fry and stew pots are unaffected) or clothing items, such as a 600 pound pair of gloves on my first occasion with the bug. ( I continually right clicked which is what caused 600p gloves.)
Great mod(s) I've got your rucksacks too just wanted to let you know, and tried to provide some "useful" info.

@NalMac Unfortunately those items lack an inner container to place the items inside once they are unequipped. However, I'll give it some thought and see if I can come up with anything.

any chance to make it work with mods that add other attachment points like vests/belts? There aren't many but there are a few and Having to re equip attachemtns has always been a minor pain of mine.

Been using Noir's backpack attachments, and was wanting a feature like this, to stop needing to choose between walking around indoors at home base with a fully equipped backpack, or later slapping on multiple attachments repeatedly.

Can confirm this works with that, and many thanks for coming through with it!
