Overall just the plain yellow halo looks great! It would look better if it didn't rain down the sparks like I mentioned before.

@shinon - Yeah, that was what I used during my first attempt. To achieve the diameter that I wanted the halo to be, I wasn't able to get enough sprites to spawn and fill the space all the way around it without it having gaps and looking as though it was spinning at a super fast velocity. I really did want it to work that way, but ultimately I had to change it in favor of this new version since it worked better for my vision of what I wanted.

@sinon - If you're asking why it's not rotating in a circle, it's because of the way I have the effect set up with it being stationary above the head and looking frozen in place. In order to give the effect of looking more three dimensional and not just like a bunch of moving objects following a path, I have the effect divided into 4 corners as 4 separate parts so there's enough particles to fill the space and look natural while maintaining the same diameter all the way around. I initially had them set up as particles that could rotate around following a path, but I couldn’t get the same three dimensional effect that I wanted without the particles splitting up too much along the path, which made it look thin or more flat. Either that, or I just don't know a better way to be honest lol. I figured having the colors spaced out and complimentary to each other would be the next best thing, and something I knew how to achieve hahaha

@shinon - Yeah, there's tons of different lighting effects depending on the maps and I find it really helps when working with colors or testing the alpha channels under different circumstances. I recently discovered from working on this that cp_process_final is great for testing because I find that it has a broad spectrum to work with :D

This is understandable, never thought about testing my unusuals in different maps, always thought the lighting was the same, just darker or brighter.

@shinon - Thanks for the feedback! I started with a brighter value early on in the effect's development and after several playtests on multiple different maps with different lighting levels, I ultimately decided it was too glaringly bright, and this current version looked better in most settings. It does end up looking brighter depending on the map and map's lighting; I know most of the examples are shot in a darker environment and doesn't show that effectively though lol.
