I did capture a ship and merge it with mine, I'm using "Easy NPC Takeovers [RETIRED]" so all blocks should be owned by me also no turrets detects them as hostile grid...
I'll see if theres a block hiding somewhere because it's the only grid that causes that

Did you capture that ship? It sounds like there's an enemy-owned block on there still. If you think it's a bug, please hop on the Discord and give me the details.

Great mod specially when im too guilty of attacking enemies with a grinder... there's a weird bug tho that whenever im near an specific ship (owned by me and large grid) the jetpack keeps deactivating, I can still turn it on right away, like for a split second
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 2. aug. 2022 kl. 21:51
Phil, there's no way this mod does that. Feel free to jump on the Discord though and we can troubleshoot.

This mod keeps my friends from joining my private game.

This depends: are they in space? If they are not in Gravity, they would fly straight forward until they could enable their jetpack again, and this additionally means you could use repulsion artificial gravity fields because players wouldn't be able to safely combat getting thrown off without at minimum a small shuttle.

Short answer: Yes, you would plummet from the sky.
Eevee 14. juni 2022 kl. 4:13
so from what i understand if this is enabled and someone tried to fly at a cargo ship with a grinder they would just fall out of the sky?

Jump on Discord and tell me about it.

My torch server crashes on start with this mod

Feel free to jump on the discord, even if you don't record or post your game play. If you have problems or anything, I'd love to hear about it. Good luck!
Judge Kronos 11. apr. 2022 kl. 11:22
I have to record and post the game plays :)

I will share if I do...
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2022 kl. 7:40
Right on! I'd love to hear how it goes. If you have a YT channel, feel free to share it and I'll check it out!
Judge Kronos 11. apr. 2022 kl. 7:27
I will have to try this out after I am bored with the salvage + economy trader style I am playing at the moment

You can still explore. You need to make sure you have a flying vehicle to sit in, though. It might mean building vehicles with exterior walk areas to facilitate boarding, etc. In this sense, it's no different than the jetpack inhibitors that many MES mods place on their craft. The idea was to present a new set of challenges to solve, and they can be.

In space, they'd just fly past each other with no control until they were beyond the shutoff distance. Kind of like jousting! haha
Judge Kronos 11. apr. 2022 kl. 5:24
The only problem I see is with exploration. Since those grids are red you will not a means to explore.

I sometimes play no jetpack but I have enemy spawns disabled then.

I would consider this a must for PvP servers though. it will definately put an end to hydromening

I would love to see a scene where 2 players got stuck across each other in space though :)
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 11. apr. 2022 kl. 4:40
Yep, enemy grids count. And yes, the situation you describe would be dire. But, that is the intent, to change the nature of game play so you have to consider situations like that.
Judge Kronos 11. apr. 2022 kl. 0:44
It says grids are not affected but are we affected by the enemy grids? that part is not clear.

I like the idea of stopping hydromen but when the pirate drones are chasing you having your jetpack disabled will be a death sentence...

Cool idea.

@High Templar of Allium Cepa, yep, it'd be pretty simple to disable jetpacks in artificial gravity. I'm not sure it fits the theme of this mod, but I may throw something together in the near future. Feel free to jump on the discord if you want to discuss it.
High Templar of Allium Cepa 8. apr. 2022 kl. 8:48
@Patrick Do you think it's possible to make a mod that disables jetpacks within a configurable 3D space maybe even tied to the range of a gravity generator or as a separate block to allow use on planets? And on top of that, include a white list for admins? I ask because, I would like my space station / settlement visitors take elevators instead of flying everywhere.
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 7. apr. 2022 kl. 16:46
@Soberlife420 Hm... That's a cool idea. I'll see what I can do.
Soberlife420 7. apr. 2022 kl. 16:21
can you make a version that limits jetpack speed to 10 m/s a second within 150 m of base so you can still reposition in a fire fight?
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 24. mar. 2022 kl. 16:47
@TunaThief, yep. That's the whole point: prevent players from flying in close combat.
Hikari 24. mar. 2022 kl. 14:50
What if two opposing players approach each other midair? Will they fall to their deaths due to the mod?
Patrick  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. 2022 kl. 6:06
I've been watching Splitsie's channel for years. He does good work :) This was really similar to something I was already working on, so I threw it together yesterday. Jump on the discord linked above if you have any problems :)
Mantha 22. mar. 2022 kl. 23:21
Why do I get the feeling someone is also watching Wrong Way Up? :P
