Hi Geirtyr and Lamb! 😊 The sound effects and background music are meant to be adjustable separately. However, the ambient audio for some reason doesn’t count as music - it follows the sound effects volume instead. This has already been reported to the devs.
In the meantime, I recommend adjusting the overall game volume manually.

Enjoyed the map but way too much high pitched noises, audio was at like a 3 but the high pitches ruined the experience for me and friends.

I did indeed start over and didn't happen this time. It was really really good. Thanks for the hard work. Did get stuck by the chest with roman numerals , but was able to move around and pick it back up to get unstuck and move it somewhere out of the way. Made it through with only a few nudges.

Hmmmm, was having fun, tried to put the deer next to the owl over the fireplace and it just disappeared. Guess will have to start over.

Hi @OIdie, so sorry to hear you got stuck. That indeed sounds frustrating. It's definitely not usual to get stuck those two places. I've just had a quick look into the Editor and have now published an update to the room (I've adjusted some obstacles and triggers and tested if I could get stuck the mentioned places. And in my tests I happily couldn't). I hope you will give it one more try with the update. Thanks for playing my room. I hope you like it once you make it all the way to the end. :)

First try: Getting stuck into the drawer in the lobby at the beginning.
Second try: Getting stuck within the lit of the red box behind the mirror.
Kind of frustating if you have to start the room three times :-/

Hi @k8sparrot, thanks a lot for playing Trapped Soul I. :) The clue to the final toy placement are the cubes with the letters "T", "O" and "Y" that you find on the floor in the room behind the mirror next to the train, the car and the plane - the cube "T" is found next to the train, "O" next to the car, and "Y" is next to the plane. :) . Hope you had a great time playing the room despite this. :)

Hi @SkyFlash, thanks a lot for drawing my attention to this issue. I have just had a look at it and made neccessary changes to fix the multiplayer issue (which could occasionally happen due to a glitch in the old set up). Hope you'll try playing the room again. :)

Great room and I'm about to start the second. 1 thing though - I have ambient light up (coz it's the middle of the day and also coz I'm a scaredy-pants) and couldn't see any numbers or letters on the blocks that give the clue to final toy placement. I remembered their L-R placement but that didn't work, had to use the walkthrough .

@handsinthegarden, yeah, you have been quite unlucky. :) Happy you like what I make, though. :) That made my day. :) As for Part 2, does it keep trying to download in Escape Simulator? If so, you could try validate the files in Steam. It's a know issue with community rooms at the moment. :)

Hi again, @handsinthegarden, I have now uploaded a new version where all Key Items have been properly defined as Key Items, and I have disabled Legacy Floor Colliders to make Pickable Key Items automatically return to the player's inventory if it falls completely through the floor. :)

Hi @Fervent, sorry for the late reply. I have been busy creating the sequel to "Trapped Soul I" and "Trapped Sould II (The Orphanage)", which I'm soon going to release. This was a fun map but unfortunately, if you're a klutz like me, you might end up being trap when the bed lifts up. At first, I thought it was part of the map.. you know, since the name is "Trapped Soul". But it is not, possibly just a bug :steamhappy:

Besides that! It was fun, really enjoy the addition of sounds to solving a puzzle. :steamthumbsup:

It's a multiplayer only thing, I think. It seems to occur when picking up an item your friend was very recently looking at.

Hi @Nerezza, thanks for playing the room. :) I have tried to do everything possible in order to see how this could possibly happen. In single-player mode I haven't been able to replicate it. Did you play with somebody in multi-player mode or alone? I have thought of a possible solution to fix this. I will test it and upload a new version soon. :)

I can confirm the grabbable clock hands, at least with the small clock you find inside the grandfather clock. For some reason, the hands were hovering outside the clock, and when I clicked on them in the zoomed in view, it put them in my inventory. I've seen a similar issue in another escape sim room, so it may just be a bug in the game with clocks with moving hands :v

Hi @Caburrito, first of all thanks for playing this room. And thanks for reporting this. I havn't heard about this issue before. I have just checked all small clocks, and none of the clock hands should be pickable at all. I've also tested the room again, and I wasn't able to replicate the behaviour. Maybe this a co-op specific issue? Or maybe it's an issue after the recent update of Escape Simulator? Hope you had the chance to speedrun the room and finish it successfully. :)

We were able to grab the clock hands off of the clocks when we picked them up. After placing them down in the correct order, the clock hands did not correctly display any numbers for us as some of the hands were missing or in people's inventories

Hi @FrauDrBob, you really shouldn't experience any laggy response with this room. In case you do continue to experience this, try to restart Escape Simulator. In many situations, this will solve this issue (speaking of own experience with other rooms :) ). Also, you can try to go to your settings and make some adjustments. As for your comment on the sound, this is a new kind of response I've got. I've never heard about this issue before in the past. I will surely have a look at this. Maybe something changed in the background after the update of Escape Simulator? I'm not sure. I hope you will give it another try and solve the mystery of the abandoned house. :) All the best!

Its unplayable for me, lagging WAY too hard. And I also think the sounds are ridiculously loud, Got sound down to 0,25 percent, can't even hear pings anymore :D

Great room! Enjoyed this quite a lot. The only thing is the sound is WAAAY too loud. I had it down at 3% and it was still loud. There must be a way to fix this.
