Other nations preferred to go in for fragmentation grenades, which had a smaller burst charge, but would release a large volume of shrapnel, which would be very effective for enclosed spaces and even wide open spaces. Although a limitation there was that the fragmentation was harder to predict and could cause more harm to friendlies than enemies.
I believe a sleeve was produced to add fragmentation, but not too frequently used, especially as the war went on.
I am slightly tempted to make the "field modification" version, which is effectively one of this with multiple grenade heads tied together, which would cause a fair bit of a bigger bang.
TL:DR - it has less / almost no shrapnel because the real world version typically didn't.
